Does that mean it is bad for people wanted to sell it? Or is first pressings, non-greatest hits, go up in value? I remember with FFVII, FFT, people are looking for the black label? I think...whatever.

Yeah, bad for people trying to sell it since the only reason it sells for so much is the rarity-aspect (well, and the game for being incredibly fun). Seeing a "Greatest Hits" release will allow the majority of people looking for the game to get it at a very low price now, but I'm sure there'll still be people willing to shell out some big dough for the original.

Odin Sphere is a greatest hit? Ugh...well I guess it's number of copies sold.

Though I guess that means that Disgaea can be considered over-rated justly by some people now when it used to be heavily UNDERrated as was the series until people started catching onto it in the last year or two explosively...

Finally, I'll be able to buy it at a cheap price. Hopefully, the 2nd one will also be Greatest Hits.

Heck...people should be picking up the whole NIS series around this if they can. The most recent release is Soul Nomad and the World Eaters and you go all the way back to Rhapsody on the PSX (which a couple of games didn't make it state-side).

Of course, Disgaea 3 is what has everyone's attention as of late but the other games are worth it too. I'm playing through PB right now as it is in a replay, trying to get along in levels fast.

Uh...Disgaea's been going since 2003. So almost 5 years and back then not many people cared about it. >_> Dunno if you're toning 'so soon' as 'expected it 10 years later' or not. :\

I got my copy in August of '04, myself, and back then it was hard to come by. I was introduced to it pretty much after I got La Pucelle Tactics beforehand.

In the US, you don't need Greatest Hits to get a good copy of VF4. Best Buy has Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution for $2. Yes. $2.

I was there about a month ago and it was $15. When did this happen?..

And yeah, the rozenqueen site has had Disgaea new for $30 for some time. I guess people are just bad at finding it.

This ought to be good for people who just want to play the thing but black labels and those copies with the misprint still ought to hit at least $30 to $40.
