Default Disk cleaning methods

You know, the stupid ones that you'd never expect to work. What all have you heard of?

tooth paste, flushing in the toilet, licking

Put the disc in boiling water.

Cracking it in half

OK, but seriously, I bought a bottle of disc skip fixer from Gamestop that worked marvelously

I have a bottle of that but I think it went stale or something because it stopped working six months after I bought it.

I have a 91% alcohol solution that I keep in a large spray bottle. I made it originally for cleaning screens but it should work for discs too.

I've tried the toothpaste thing.....didn't work.
Made it worse.....
Maybe I did it wrong but I suggest don't try it.

like just two days ago my friend had a game that wouldn't work. So after trying to just clean it we:

1. Put toothpaste on it
2. cleaned the toothpaste off with alcohol
3. dried it with a shirt
4. (it still didn't work at this point) flushed it in the toilet
5. dried it with the same shirt

it worked after all of that and still is working...I was about as shocked as I could get.
