Yeah, it's been some time since this thing has been released and I haven't seen a matchmaking thread for it.
If someone doesn't know what GGPO is, it's a client that lets you play different arcade games (mostly Capcom and SNK) against other dudes, via online play. Compared to other clients like Kaillera, GGPO's netcode is vastly superior and it will allow you to play smoothly against other people, even with pings between 200~300ms.
Some of the featured games are:
-KOF 98 - 2000 - 2002.
-Capcom crossovers.
-Dungeons and Dragons: Shadows over Mystara.
-Final Fight.
-The Last Blade 2.
-Samurai Shodown 2.
-Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo.
-Street Fighter 3 Third Strike.
-Street Fighter Alpha 3.
-Karnov's Revenge (yeah, I IGNORE why this horrible game is featured, but oh well...).
-Etc.
If someone wanna play some 98 matches with me, my GGPO ID is kokubunji. I hope more players join

I do, but I mostly play SF Alpha 2 & 3, and Last Blade 2. Still, if I'm on, I'll try some KOF. ID is cj_iwakura.

Karnov's Revenge? That Data East game that hardly gets played?
Well I guess the rest of the list is nice. Last Blade 2 being a plus in my book.
I usually messed around with Kawaks, though, when it came to CPS games. Third Strike being supported in this vein kinda makes that a moot point, though...since Kawaks only does CPS1 and CPS2, last I checked.
Although I haven't really done anything competitive for fighters since ZSNES, zbattle.net and KI or GWED. Not to say I haven't played all those games (for the most part) but... :/ | |
