I have it reserved. I've been curious about the Dokapon series for some time and was originally going to import Dokapon World for the PS2 until Atlus gave me another reason to love them so very much.
It's an interesting concept. A multiplayer RPG/board game/friendship destroyer . I heard a full game can last around 15-30 hours depending on what happens in-game.
The list of things you can do to other players is evil. You can commit crimes dressed as other players' characters, you can send horrible gifts to the king of Dokapon Kingdom with another player's name on it, hire thieves and assassin robots to go after other players, etc.
If you manage to defeat another player in battle, you can change their name like Eight said, put poop in their hair, shave their head, or mark on their face. There are probably other choices too. These things are long lasting until the unfortunate player somehow fixes their character.
My biggest fear is that most people are going to take one look at this game and think "Ugh..another kiddie minigame compilation." I can only hope that Dokapon will catch on in the U.S. |
