Default DS Game for the Non-Gamer

I just gave my sister my old DS and aside from already recommending New SMB, Tetris DS, and Super Princess Peach...what the hell do I give someone who doesn't really game?

I was thinking Animal Crossing or Phoenix Wright or maybe even Big Brain (but that can get old). Recommendations? Platformers and puzzle games seem to be my sister's thing.

Brain Age of course! Then you can laugh at her when her brain age is 79.

Oh yeah, Phoenix Wright is addicting by the way. My brother played the first game, and after he beat it he played through it again, and did all of the character's voices himself right out loud. That was painful.

Then he imported the second, and third game, and played through those using walkthroughs. Imagine playing a text game in Japanese without knowing the language. He must love Phoenix Wright as much as I love... well seeing as everybody knows now...

Polarium.

Very addictive puzzle game for the DS. Good luck finding it though.

All the little girls I've seen with a DS have Nintendogs.

Fuck you Reenee

Get Meteos, as it's the best puzzle game on the DS right now. Trace Memory might be a good fit, and even if it's not, the thing is $10 used at the most. Is she the sort who would like Harvest Moon? If so, the DS one is a blast to play and pretty much lets the player do whatever they want. That should be a good start!

I already decided to get Super Princess Peach and Phoenix Wright for my sis and her husband. I'm making a list as well to help them get other good games within their capabilities:

Animal Crossing
Meteos
Kirby: Canvas Curse
Clubhouse Games
Big Brain > Brain Age
Phoenix Wright: Justice for All
WarioWare: Touched!

As for the other games they could look into if they're ready to be...challenged :
Super Mario 64 (relax, they're not gamers; I told them they could wait to get the original on the Wii instead)
Mario Kart
Nintendogs
Trauma Center (for the sake of being different)

I think I've nailed down all the QUALITY games a casual gamer might want to look into.

As someone who is a casual girl gamer, I approve of Reenee's list. The only game I might add to the consideration list would be Elite Beat Agents, because it's fairly easy to pick up, even for people who don't really have a history with music games. (this being based on me watching other people play my cart) It's also part of the Touch Generations line, if that means anything.
