The press conferences were kinda weak today imo. nothing new, nothing amazing, just confirmation of rumors and the typical "WE RULE EVERYTHING!" speech from EA.

if MS wants to keep that lead on Sony, they're really gonna have to step up their game. The gap made in that one year head start is really starting to get tight with the few A+ titles coming out of Sony this year.

iuno, i've lost interest in the 360. a few cool games here and there, but most of the games i was stoked on sucked according to every review site and magazine out there, and every other blockbuster title is making it's way to Games For Windows, soooo.....yep.

and yea FFXIII is a North America and Europe thing only. Not enough 360 gamers in Japan to justify porting it over therrrre.

sony's press conference will be weak too. more Killzone 2, Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, HOME, and Gran Turismo 5 talk. no new games (at least i think), PS2 games will come to PS Store, TV, Movie, and Music download announced and online this thursday, and that's it. the only two things i'm excited for out of them is when the hell HOME will go into open beta or at least invite more people into HOME, when we'll get more trophies, and when the SOCOM beta will start.

nintendo will announce some amazing game for next year, it will be delayed, and life will go on. other than that, another accessory/wii fit-esque game for the wii might show it's face as well as a new handheld (which would be really fucking stupid imo. the ds prints money. PRINTS MONEY!!!!)

Katsuya Eguchi, creator of Animal Crossing is on the screen. & Animal Crossing: City Folk for Wii has been announced! Now yo can go to the city outside our little town. Your main character can have an Mii head.

WiiSpeak, a community microphone that goes on top of the sensor bar has been announced. Appears it'll be plugged in via USB

Star Wars: The Clone Wars for Wii shown. Not a huge surprise, now I don't have to hear people whining about the Wiimote not being used for a lightsaber...

Rayman Raving Rabbids: TV Party shown. Uses Wii Balance Board. Doesn't look all that bad.

Finally, Call of Duty: World At War. Gonna let you use that Wii Zapper.

Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades announced. Something about songsharing so if you have a different version, you can play their version or something...

Wii Sports Resort announced & shown. Basically Wii Sports at the beach. The MotionPlus WILL come w/ Wii Sports Resort or you can buy it seperatly. Wii Sports Resort is going to include fencing. It'll be 1st person like boxing.

Now someone is playing the drums using the Wiimote+Nunchuk & the Balance Board (used for petals). Now Miyamoto is using the Wiimote to play the sax. Hey, it's Wii Music!! 4 people can play at the same time. No following charts or notes. 50 different instruments will be playable. Piano, violin, guitar, & taiko drum were shown. The drums will include lessons & the orchestra shown a few years ago will also be included. Cowbell will included too. They had Miyamoto & some people play the Mario Theme. No release date (...yet?).

Nintendo's Press Conference just... sucked. It was a bunch of numbers, and bunch of casual games, and this "we're doing so good with the casual audience so screw the hardcore crowd" approach. I'm thinking I'm done with Wii for another year or so.

Gosha & linkismyhero: My thoughts exactly. I'm still kinda sad that there wasn't really anything for us hardcore, but I still found some stuff interesting (GTA: Chinatown Wars for DS, Animal Crossing for Wii, & WiiSpeak). Perhaps we'll see more games later this week.

Eh, I'm thinking they might show something Kingdom Hearts. Other than that, Home, Killzone 2 Demo, Resistance 2 Demo, maybe some new FF Versus XIII crap, LittleBigPlanet, and that weird game with the girl crying in every screenshot I've seen of it.
