The Wii was NEVER meant to be aimed toward the hardcore crowd. Also the FFXIII announcement wasn't even huge, it was known for ALONG time that Microsoft would end up taking it, even from rumors. Everything from Microsoft were just blatant rip offs of old, and upcoming already announced ideas, but we already knew that. I didn't watch Sony's but I heard alot of things were shown off. I'll have to catch up on it..

-Gears of War 2
killer exclusive and sequel to the game that I prefer more than Halo 3. Heck IMHO, GOW1 SHOULD have been the highest-rated, best and most-played X360 game then.......as I don't see why Halo 3 should've taken that spot from it. Anyway, GOW2 is coming out within this year (though too bad this game will be banned in Germany due to violence and other shit)
-FF13 announcement
not enough to strike Sony or the PS3 down.....but it did leave huge damage considering it was "hoped" by many to be the biggest PS3-exclusive title ever. Sony better act well and act fast if they want to make sure that they do not lose any exclusives (coming from third-party companies)

-MAG: Massive Action Game
Third person online shooter exclusive to the PS3 due 2009 that aims to support as much as 256 PLAYERS!!!! Crazy concept......though I fear server holdups/lag/latency and all that..........but good luck If they can pull this off 256 players at one time thing WITHOUT any major lag or server delay, then I think they have a winner.

Follow-up to the most praised PS3 launch game..........though personally, I'm not digging with playing FPS on consoles.........unless I have a keyboard and mouse.

No, but Nintendo has a history of keeping their hardcore fans happy. They have a history of showing off at least one thing at each E3 to make their fanboys go nuts. I was expecting at least a TEASER of a new Zelda, or possibly even a new IP, but there was nothing.

So even though the SYSTEM wasn't meant to be aimed at the hardcore crowd, that doesn't mean Nintendo's games shouldn't be. Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros, and all of the crap that they've put up on the Virtual Console are examples.

Also the FFXIII announcement wasn't even huge, it was known for ALONG time that Microsoft would end up taking it, even from rumors.

You're kidding me, right? Did you even hear the fucking crowd at the E3 announcement when the FFXIII logo was shown? That didn't sound like the reaction of a crowd who'd just seen something just "meh." And those were rumors, not actual confirmation, so there's no way anyone knew for sure.

Yeah, rumors, but still it was pretty much confirmed having it take months without no actual confirmation. I guess the people there, aren't that into reading forums or something? I knew it was going to 360, I even had the biggest feeling it was. If any of those people had a clue, they would've had some sort of hint. Plus it's E3, everyone goes crazy over stuff like that. I doubt it'll do great in Japan & Europe though. Ah can't forget Vs. 13, which is still Sony exclusive. 360 players will be pretty upset it's not coming to the console after playing 13. Maybe it's some marketing strategy? Maybe.

No way man, I like some Xbox games, no lie. New information, OF COURSE! It's E3, but new ideas? Games that are add ons to already made games. As in 'You're in the Movies". Not any I can think of without looking at the conference again. Movie downloads? Avatar characters? Also 'interacting with other avatar characters' which they claimed they thought of first. Also not many games were shown off. What is up with the dashboard? You better be able to put wallpaper behind that. I think only 11 exclusives were announced, correct me if I'm wrong, oh and the XBLA games..

Sony's wasn't good either, the 80gb SKU? Lame. I was expecting the God of War III CGI trailer, and that's what made it pretty good. I didn't see it all so I need to catch up on what I missed.

Didn't see Nintendo's. Everyone says it's crap. All I needed to know is that ANOTHER controller is coming out for it. Oh and GTA for DS, hahaha.

Paul, I think you're taking the "new ideas" thing too seriously, specially now, when innovating is excessively hard in consoles with old control-schemes like the X360 and PS3.

Microsoft's stuff is good IMO. Maybe not original but at least it sounds like it'll work smoothly.

Yeah, but that's all Nintendo needs to get their fanboys excited! One Zelda trailer will have them excited for 2-3 years until the game actually comes out, they play it, love it, and wait not so patiently for the next trailer... which is why they're (we're) upset. It's been almost 2 freaking years since the last game came out, they're due to show us their new crap.

I'd actually love another even smaller DS with no GBA slot. It's nice but the fact that the GBA cartridges protrude out the bottom is literally enough to keep me from using it (aesthetics > usability, don't worry about it I'm practically gay).
