Yes, I know it's the same game, but oh well.

Basically this features 300 games in one cabinet. Probably uses some sort of MAME?

I thought I would throw this out here and ask if any of you guys have access to something like this at your arcade.

One of my friends restored an old cabinet to use MAME which was really well done. As for using MAME in the arcade, the makers of it have prohibited such use so it's something that is very rare to say the least.

It might not be MAME, is the thing. I've seen a few cabinets that appear to be legitimately licensed and tend to feature older games from two to four companies, max.

What we really need is a stand-up arcade cabinet of those awesome 500-in-1 games where it's just the same game of "frog" or "bee" with slightly altered rules.

Frog #187 was the shit.

So, it's basically an Ultracade, but way better. Seeing as I don't even think those have 100 games.

Well you obviously can't legally sell roms in a legit business...
Your supposed to put your own roms on it.

The cabinet is obviously homebuilt and is running some custom build of mame or another emulator. It actually looks like kawaks in a way.

I don't know about this.

Its got a seal from the vendor that could be a new one or an old one from the game the cabinet previously was.

Mame could be in arcades if it was free though (maybe).

I can't make out the sign on it so I can't really say anything about it.

A group of retarded looking monsters will appear and you will take turns hitting each other. When it is all over you will get 648 Gil and a fire ring. Why the 12 foot tall monster with no hands had a fire ring that fits everyone from you to your grandma will still be mystery to man.

It's just a snip bit of the games that are featured on this machine. I seriously doubt it is something legitimate.

It has to be mame. Look at those games. There are just too many different types of boards for that to not be some form of emulation. CPS1, CPS2, Neo-Geo, SNK's 68000 based hardware games, Midway's T-unit system (Running an unreleased prototype), TMNT2 based hardware games, etc...

Not to mention the banner and artwork are obviously homemade. Lots of people have these things, but there just aren't to many who would try to make money off of it.

This game literally features 300 songs.
"songs" should probably say "games"

also yeah no way this is legit; the cabs i've seen have usually been a few dozen games from capcom and taito

Ha, thanks for letting me know about that slip-up.

I'm going to update the page now with more games that are on there. I'm also going back to the arcade tomorrow (Wednesday) for some more photos and what not.

Come to think of it, I remember seeing something legit like this being given away on Price is Right. It had games from different companies, but nothing too recent if I remember correctly.

We have one like this here in Toronto. The screen isn't even set at its native resolution. Mars Matrix and Giga Wing looks godawful with its scaling and rippling.
