Fallout: New Vegas - Page 2

I didn't touch my stealth or unarmed/melee (if this is what you mean by combat) for the entire game and it was still pretty boring.

I figured I'd buy the pitt when I was done with Anchorage and I haven't quite had the drive to finish Anchorage up yet. Once I had all the on disk quests finished I wasn't really wishing for more like I was with Oblivion, so maybe that has to do with my general attitude towards the DLC.

I never used unarmed/melee but stealth was my forte.

No I just meant that I was shooting out people's teeth with a pistol from a hundred paces and as a result I walked through Anchorage more or less unmolested, whereas going in at level ten or lower might be more interesting

I must be the only person who takes the Team Fortress 2 approach to Fallout 3.

I carry 4 weapons. The Gattling Laser, The Minigun, The Terrible Shotgun, And Missile Launcher. In the event that I'm planning on doing something stupid, I'll bring along a Fat Man.

I then proceed to Light the capital wasteland with the flashes and fires caused by my ammo dispensers.

And if you think that this "Couldn't possibly be fun" Take that equipment for a ride in downtown DC against some super mutants. I hit one almost dead on with a Fat Man and managed not to blow up the body into tiny little chunks. I just ended up launching the body so far away that I never found it. Glitches can be fun.

Once I launched a Yao Guai with a laser pistol I think it was. Flew 50 feet or so into the air.

Yeah, Bethesda's never really mastered Havok. I've had a lot of perpetual motion deer bodies in Oblivion and F3 wasn't any better. :\

I never saw the point of the heavy weapons, except for the Behemoths.

the first few mirelurks I killed just kind of slid around the map, like the bodies were being carried away by ants

I assumed this was how things were supposed to be until it randomly stopped happening.

did it randomly stop happening around the time of the first patch? I think that's when I started to actually sign into the Playstation Network again.

I don't remember when; it started right away and stopped maybe a day later or something.

Killing everyone and everything all at once. The Heavy weapons are great when you decide to wreck Talon Company's base. They're also great when you decide to wreck the Slavers. That huge Raider hideout over by the left side of the map? A few fat men can turn that into a SuperHappyFunTime(tm) if you stand on the ledge up there in sneak mode and procede to fire at 45 degrees directly at everything down there.

It's like Defcon on a local scale. Everybody dies

Yeah, heavy weapons and explosives can be a lot of fun.

Hopefully the Super Mutants aren't chumps still in New Vegas.

I'm speculating there is going to be a casino run by ghouls. I don't know why, I just have a feeling.

That would an insulting stereotype towards Native Americans?

For those that didn't touch their stealth stat, I can't see why you would do such a thing. Scoring sneak attack criticals was the only way I progressed at lower levels.

Ghouls are native americans? I thought they were just reanimated dead folk.
