Anybody played this game? In the US it's called Fatal Frame, in Europe Project Zero. I am currently playing part 3, The Tormented. I haven't played the other parts yet, but I must say this game has a very high scare/fear percentage.
The game is just like Ghostbusters and Resident Evil. This game has a nice plot and it takes place in weird creepy inviroments. Not to mention the games BGM, it's all eiri. It's kinda weird how you need to survive with just a camera.
I just bought this game yesterday for just 12,50euro. Cheap as "hell". I just started this game, so I can't tell much about it yet. Any of you guys played this game and willing to share your experience?

This game's scare-factor is really high because it's
not Run and Gun, but really suspenseful. The atmosphere
of the game is amazing and just the fact that you have
to fight by taking pictures is really original ^_^
I'm too scared to play it right now O_O''' haha

Crimson Butterfly wins in the storytelling and drama factor.
Oddly, I didn't like Fatal Frame III that much....too saturated plotline, I suppose...
TIP: I dare ANYONE to play ANY Fatal Frame game at 3 in the morning in a closed room, ALONE. I did. And I assure you, the experience beats watching any horror movie you can name.
(I just didn't drink any coffee to avoid being "jumpy". lolz)

Oh, speaking of horror games. Which game do you think is scarier :
- Fatal Frame/Project Zero
- Silent Hill
- Clock Tower
- Resident Evil
- Parasite Eve IMO, Fatal Frame/Project Zero hits #1. Next Clock Tower and runner-up Resident Evil.

A bit off topic, but anyone hyped to see the Fatal Frame movie?

I've learned from expecting too much from the Resident Evil and Silent Hill movies.

Fatal Frame Movie Is Being Fast-Tracked [ Source] The Movie Based on Tecmo's Survival-Horror Hit is on Course as Dreamworks Confirms it Has Hired on Writer/Producer, John Rogers.
Top video game publisher, Tecmo and Dreamworks Studios, the movie studio headed by Steven Spielberg, announcednew details surrounding the movie based on Fatal Frame, the hit survival-horror series that will once again unleash its terror with a sequel, Fatal Frame 2, coming out this November.
New details emerged at the 2003 Tokyo Game Show, when it was announced that writer/producer John Rogers has signed on to head up the movie project as its producer. Bringing the series to the big screen is a priority for the studio, with Spielberg himself having a first-hand role in the project. Dreamworks confirmed its commitment by announcing that they were fast-tracking the movie and working on finalizing the script -a director will be named shortly, and casting will begin soon after.
Rogers, who in the past has worked on such projects as the science fiction thriller, The Core, and is currently working on the highly-anticipated Catwoman, starring Halle Berry and Sharon Stone, is thrilled to be on board with the project. He was attracted to the production after hearing that the film would stay true to its original theme by keeping the storyline set in Japan.
" I was attracted to the idea of doing a classic, old school haunted house picture. By focusing, too, on cool Japanese cultural additions and different ghost "mythos" most North American audiences are unfamiliar with, we can do something unique. None of the rules about the supernatural, the characters, or our audience apply in the Fatal Frame world." - John Rogers Spielberg working on Fatal Frame Movie [ Source]
Enjoy action adventure? Like horror? Like Spielberg? Well you just won the jackpot. A scooper just dropped us a line to say that Fatal frame is scheduled for release next november. Dreamworks and Steven Spieldberg are finishing the script. After that, they will announce a director and casting will begin shortly after.
The script is being written by Stephen Spielberg and John Rogers and is based on the video game Fatal Frame. Fatal Frame is a a horror-adventure video game which leaves its victims breathless as they become immersed in a world of supernatural spirits and sheer terror.
Guided by her sixth sense and armed only with an antique camera, Miku the main character sets out to solve the mystery of her brother's sudden disappearance. As the story unfolds, she discovers gruesome details about the Himura mansion's troubled past. The property and surrounding area have a dark history involving grisly murders, an evil cult, and restless spirits.
Well, with Stephen and John in the picture. I think this is going to be a great horror/thriller movie!

This game was so damn scary that i seriously couldn't play it alone, let alone in the dark alone. I was sucked into the game, but it was really scary. I still think this game is scary to this day. The one that came out onto the PS2 sucked though. It wasn't scary at all. They needed the scissors man to come back. He is the one that made it scary in the first place. So yeah, clock tower wins my vote.
