I would much prefer a real FFT on the DS to the "magnificently realistic simulation of a real Final Fantasy game" that FFT:A was. Nothing about Advance was inherently bad, but plotwise, when Marche (I think it was Marche anyway) said "My favorite game is Final Fantasy" I felt like stabbing the screen out. I prefer original Tactics for challenge, flexibility in developing characters (not having to wait for weapon x to get ability y is very nice, especially when x = Cinquedia and you want y = Steal: Ability early on) and a more interesting atmosphere. |
