... well it did, for 2 days. After that, everyone forgot.

P.S. Women can walk alone in the street, they just have to cover up. Its part of a religious tradition... You know how when you leave the country you find other cultures besides you own, and what might seem strange and unusual to you, is a perfectly acceptable way of life to them?

Isn't the person who went out and did these things accountable for their own actions?

Initially it seems cool that Germany banned the game, since Final Fantasy 7 is a complete piece of shit, but I don't think it's the right decision overall. For one thing, the game's a decade old and most anyone that has wanted to play it has done so long ago - I think it's a little late to ban the game now. It seems pretty shitty that the German goverment has decided to parent its own people and tell all of them that they can't buy some stupid game because of some stupid criminals.
Also, by banning the game, now it seems elusive and "taboo" so as a result there'll be a few kids who weren't really interested in the game before suddenly wondering what all the fuss is about - resulting in a build up for massive dissapointment. All I can picture is some kid suffering through the horrible storyline and music and getting to the end just to ask "why the fuck was this banned, again?"
So, yeah, Germany; murderers suck, but so does being Big Brother. Oh and Final Fantasy 7, too, that much we can agree on.

FF7 is overrated, I will definitely agree, but it's hardly "shit" compared to 90% of the other games out there. Especially if you consider yourself a fan of the Dynasty Warriors series, heh.

In a couple of years we'll have someone named Squall tearing shit up in Spain or something

Secondly, Games a decade old? Doom was 6 when columbine happened. Sounds too much like right to blame something on a new game.

I agree--it's about 10 years old now, how in the world would you get rid of it? And seriously, although what the article refers to is a rather major point in the game's plot... it's only a side point--if you believe that's all the game was about, well, you missed about everything in the game.
The article did bring up a good point, though: Quote: |
Now we all know the worst thing that has ever come of FFVII is bad Sephiroth / Cloud fan yaoi...
| This crazyness is causing voices in MY head... and I'm conversing with them!
Oh... shit, yeah, um, just look at username. Ok? (FYI, I've had this username since uh... 2000) Think I only kinda like FF7? Yeah. But, don't worry, I like other things perfectly well, too.
