Because a crapload of stuff was announced at the event:

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for PS3 including online Co-Op (missions only) & playable Ayane (from Dead or Alive) & Momiji (from the DS Ninja Gaiden)

Virtual Console now has Arcade games. Gaplus, Star Force, The Tower of Druaga, Mappy & Space Harrier (coming soon) have been added, all for 500 points except Gaplus, which is 600). Go ahead & speculate on what might make it on

Original US NES/SNES Final Fantasys coming to Virtual Console (Why?) along w/ Final Fantasy IV: The After Years & Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life As A Darklord

Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks announced for DS, coming this year (yes, it's going to involve trains & play like Phantom Hourglass). See the 1st trailer here. PS: You can now download games directly to an SD card.

New system update (4.0) for Wii allows you to launch channels that you have saved on an SD card (32GB is the maximum card you can use). Finally, you can play VC games on other Wiis. Watch it in action

OnLive, basically a "gaming-on-demand". Check Gametrailers.com for videos about it that explain it better.

Sony is hoping to add more PSP stuff, like PS One Classics & improving the PSN store.

Space Invaders Extreme coming to Xbox Live in HD.

"DSi enhanced game cards" are being developed, which just means if the game using those cards has customization (i.e Animal Crossing), then it'll allow you to use photos that you've taken or use the camera for something.

I'm disappointed that they didn't announce new series. Also I didn't see the Statue of Liberty in the Punch-Out!! trailer so now I'm a little worried about that.

Super Punch-Out!! (SNES) is coming to the Virtual Console this Monday (awesome, this & the new Punch-Out!! makes me want to play the game on my SNES)

Team ICO said that their newest game (no title yet given) will play just like Ico.

Bionic Commando is coming May 19th.

Something about the next Microsoft console.

Motion controller announced for......DS?? Yeah, read about it here to fully understand. It's not by Nintendo, don't worry.

2nd Professor Layton game coming to US as "Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box".

Nintendo shows off some unreleased handhelds. Quite interesting.

Postal 3 announced......does anyone even REMEMBER the 1st 2 games?

Nah, the 360 came out four years after the original Xbox. It'll be three years this November, so you'll probably hear something late this year or early next year. I'd bet the 360 goes for 5 years before they replace it though.

That OnLive thing is pretty dumb though. I'd rather not take up an extreme amount of bandwidth like that.

And they didn't say that the new Team ICO game would play just like ICO, they said it would have the same feel to it.

The Zelda series is reaaally steering off track.

Pathetic puns aside, I actually like the idea of Hyrule being modernized. We needed a big change.

And the OnLive thing sounds alright, but in some way I can see it failing. Wouldn't be suprised if they go bankrupt or something.

Strangely....

We've been discussing this Onlive thing over at B3D as well and we are still puzzled as to how their compression methods work. Besides which, I think they also posted a few pics that compared between different bandwidths of internet speeds.

Though personally, I'm still not sure on how it deals with input lag. Guess we'll know more about it later on.

Nintendo had stated that MotionPlus is still planned for Spring & the controls for Wii Sports Resort have been improved, or to quote Reggie, "The level of full motion capability is far in excess of what we showed at E3".

That seems interesting (in the case of Nintendo). Indeed, motion sensing is indeed the forte of their Wii console and I think that it is one of its main selling points. It's just too bad though that in my case, I'd definitely stay away from purchasing any third-party titles for it (as only the first-party games/the in-house games made by Nintendo are the only games that I find worthy playing in the Wii).

Also, it looks like they also plan to make announcements in regards to the upcoming 2.70 firmware for the PS3. Nice
