I managed 1 and 2 without dying, and 3 on one credit. but it's been a long time I did it so I forgot everything

Yeah I recall playing Metal Slug on a Kawaks Emu and I sucked so bad that by the time I defeated the final boss it stated that I had used 63 credits to get where I was.

I need proof of such an insanity of beating Metal Slug on one credit.

It's possible, dude.

A LOT of players here in my area have beaten Metal Slugs 1-5, yes, including the insanely hard X, on one credit each.

As long as you memorize enemy placement and where all the POWs are, that is.

I don't get how it's even possible to beat the final bosses of 2 or 4 without dying. The boss in 4 seems to have attacks that can't be avoided all the time, and the boss in 2 just doesn't seem to want to die. It takes me like 5 minutes of constant continue use in MAME to beat it. I guess I just suck...

And upon searching on Youtube, I was able to see one. It looked really easy (MS 4 Speedrun on Hard) and yet I know I'd probably use up another 60 credits trying to do the same in double the time or something.
