Ghost Squad is coming to the Wii.

T"he next game they are announcing is Ghost Squad. Ghost Squad will be going exclusive to the Wii. Oh, and it will be playable here today.

The game appears to be a first person shooter with knives and gomes. Oh and it's going to use a light gun. HOLY SHIT a LIGHT GUN.

You can unlock 25 tactical weapons and it looks an awful lot like Time Crisis."

Awesome, but it's not really like Time Crisis at all aside from the "u shute mans" aspect of gameplay. I was also not totally sure why Crecente is so fucking pressed about an actual lightgun, given that if I recall correctly the gun shell for the remote is coming out soon, but then I remembered that he's a fucking moron.

I for one wouldn't be opposed to a third-party light gun for this game, if the remote was an available backup option, especially if it has gun-centric controls like a button on the bottom of the handle for reloading or something. It's good to see that this kind of game makes a Wii debut this early in the cycle.

News to me, too. I've never seen a GS that distributed cards, or even had the equipment to do so.

The Japanese Version had cards like the ones used for Initial D but Sega US said "Fuck cards" when they released it state side.

All I know is that cards are for score and unlocking things. I'm not sure how though.

I think he still has the high score at SVGL.

Yup, that pretty much sums it up. The GS cards work similar to the Tekken 5 data cards, actually.

All your points/EXP are saved on the card after every game.

With the card you can pick your starting weapon and costume from all of the ones you've unlocked so far.

It's only good for 100 games before you need to get a new card.

If you guys have cardless GS machines, how do you keep track of the unlocked stuff? Passwords, I presume?

I don't think there is an unlock system like that

Possibly it operates on an individual machine basis, via time unlocks or something

come to think about it, I think I remember someone saying it works like the "phone number" system in Fast and the Furious. You enter a username and a PIN code....
