Those of you who have or had a Nintendo 64 probably remember playing an old Rare game by the name of Goldeneye 007. I personally wasted a lot of hours with my friends playing this game and having the time of my life, so naturally when the rumors started floating that it would be on the Live Arcade, I was hoping they would turn out true. They were, but now they're not.
For those not interested in reading the article, it seems that Nintendo and Microsoft couldn't agree on royalties for the game, so the project has been officially canned, and the only way we'll see it on Live now is if we tell Nintendo and Microsoft how badly we want it. Anyone else as pissed as I am about this?

He lists several Microsoft and Nintendo addresses that you can email asking for it to be released. Goldeneye 007 for Xbox 360 Petition
This also has around 4000 signatures as of writing this.
The only way to get this is to show both Microsoft and Nintendo that we want this and crying about it won't do anything.

Seriously, I don't get it. No matter how they split the money each of them will still make an assload off of this game. And now it would be better than the $0 they're each getting out of it. Why bothering with GoldenEye when Rare already has a way better FPS for N64 with more options, more game modes and overall better gameplay (Perfect Dark), and AFAIK they could release it on XBLA without a problem, considering the rights belong to Rare?

Perfect Dark was ten million times a better game than Goldeneye the only thing Goldeneye had was a nostalgic appeal. I would hope that a port over to the Xbox would make it run at a little higher of a framerate and get rid of the slowdown issues.
