Gran Turismo 4

Yeah Yeah it's old and some people are long done with it, whatever. Since my brother decided to go the lame route and cheat, which makes me bored of the game in a day, I decided to start a new game
on my memory card. I fell in love with the game again and i'm addicted. So far, i'm at ~13% completion with all Beginner events completed and all Professional Events except the GTWC completed, which is hard as hell to keep up with, besides Super Speedway race obviously (only did first two races and dropped out because I made a shitty decision on the 4th race and skipped the 3rd completely...I hate Hong Kong so much).

The only thing I honestly cheated with when starting the game new was all gold licenses, because I did not want to go through the hassle of redoing them again (I had one silver though before, it was on one of the IB missions and I never got around to doing it).

Apparently this license thing caused a bug with the driving missions, and now I can't get the DeLorean, which i'll worry about later.

I just want to unlock Cote'D Azur right now so I can try out the glitch XD.

Anyways, who else plays it, what's your progress, best speed/times etc.?

but for serious, the physics blow major ass in this game. not to mention the ai. i spun my 180sx on the snow at 25mph, when i took a similar corner irl at atleast 35 on the snow and made it stylishly. the spins are ridiculous.

but it has some great car models. now if they'd only get out of beta/whateverthefuckthey'redoing with GT4 Online and GT4 Portible

Do Tell! Honestly, it may have been because I played this game after picking up Forza and playing 40+ hours into that, but this game really just made me angry, the load times alone made me put down the game after maybe two hours, the physics may have been a factor in it. The game just doesn't feel right to me after playing Forza :/

The Forzas were definatly something that felt missing, but I have to admit some of the music was very well chosen, but I can't find some of the songs like "Gameplan". But I'm definatly glad that they had more sponsored cars like the HKS Genki Silvia RS2.

I kept trying to do the goddamned 24 hour race at nurgerburgering and the power kept going out or some dumb shit when i was at like 17 hours. Fuck that T_____________________T. I JUST WANT A FORUMA CAR

Are you playing with a steering wheel or with a dual shock? It's stupid to try to compare the two when you drive in real life with a steering wheel and pedals and complain about spinning out when playing with a joystick and a x button.

GT4 Online was junked a -long- time ago, and GT4 Portable has been on indefinite hold too. They just released GTHD for PS3 (a free download and 10 cars, INCLUDING A FERRARI which means they finally got the Ferrari license) and the whole team has pretty much just been gearing for GT5.

Snow courses defaults snow tires onto the car, maybe that is what was different? The car physics in GT4 are pretty good, considering the limitations of playing a video game. I prefer the physics in GT4 to Forza anyday.

And, you live in the United States. You don't fucking drive a 180SX. You drive a 240SX. Go plow it into a wall please with one of your stylish turns.

I started over. Considering i've just recently gotten my computer back, i've had a ton of time to play this game.

I'm at 40.7%:

-All licenses (all gold up to IA).
-All Beginner/Professional events complete. All Extreme events complete except Formula GT.
-All Special Condition Events complete.
-Four Endurance events done...thank you B-Spec! (Super Speedway 150 miles, Grand Valley 300km, Tokyo 200 miles, Laguna Seca 200 miles...NEXT ENDURANCE WILL BE INFINEON WORLD SPORTS).
-One American Event done (American championship).
-One One-Make race done (Daihatsu Midget race).
-All Driving Missions complete.

Ownage.

Anyway, I love playing GT4. I'm honestly considering picking up one of those really expensive Logitech controllers for this and NFS.

im at 89% atm and i cbf doing the rest. its all bullshit. im left with the hard rallys and the championship endurance race.

I'm almost done with B-specing all the long stuff. I've finished every endurance race and 1000 Miles (except event 4 :/, still beat the championship) and im currently doing Formula GT (race 10/15).

After that i'll finish the 4th race in 1000 miles then I can finally start doing the Regional halls and one-makes.
