I hope Rockstar has a Custom Radio patch soon. The guide button doesn't work too well with custom soundtrack, since the music still plays during cutscenes. And hitting the guide button doesn't pause the game.

I thought it'd be like the "MP3 Station" on the older PC/Xbox versions. Does the PS3 version do this too?

PS3 has no custom soundtrack option whatsoever, last I heard.

Honestly, I would say this does very much merit a 10, on the basis that a 10 is something really revolutionary and amazing. Animation, AI, physics, level of detail, combat, realtime effects, storyline, voice acting, everything in this game is pretty much amazing. It has a few glitches here and there, but considering they're side effects of making everything else as smooth as possible, I don't mind in the slightest.

I actually killed someone in a car crash. Like, got out of my car, pulled the corpse out of the other vehicle, and drove off. I've also managed to fly out a windshield, bounce fifty feet after bailing from a motorcycle, set off airbags, and fall flat on my ass while completely drunk; and they all looked amazing. The fact that animations in this game work as well as they do and are completely unscripted is phenomenal beyond belief.

Sadly, I have yet to get drunk in this game.

None of the bars have open doors, or I'm blind/stupid xD.

Nope, and I'm kinda pissed about it. That was one of my favorite features in the PC versions, and given that the PS3 has a goddamned HDD I can't see why it doesn't support it.

I got drunk with Roman and then we got in the car and he was bitching about Mallory and Niko said "I probably shouldn't be driving" then I got a wanted level and I got out the car, stumbling around, the cop and his 2 homies came up to me yelling to get on the ground with their guns pointed, and I couldn't run away because I would just stumble around and fall, then they killed me.

I was at two stars and inadvertently drove into the airport which immediately raised me to four stars and when I got out of my car I was promptly smeared by a cop doing 90

So, I have to say...if you guys haven't flipped on the TV in Roman's apartment, I suggest doing it. Some of the TV shows are hilarious. That and I love the new internet deal, I think I spent around 30 minutes on their net looking at all the stuff lol.

I was getting out of my car, doing my usual OCD thing of making sure Niko closes the door before I leave, when as soon as I stepped out a passing cab took off my door and left Niko completely untouched. I just kind of stared at it for a second because it was pretty lol.

Also I've managed to set two people on fire as a result of car crashes.

The only bad points in the game are:

- No mid-mission checkpoints. This gets really annoying when some missions require driving long distances to multiple places.

- Too many scripted chase sequences.

- The drunk physics are really dumb and it's impossible to actually do anything while drunk except screw up your driving, get a high wanted level and die.

- The phone calls and everything make me feel like I'm being pushed constantly. It's like I'm always supposed to do something when I'd rather just look around and I hate having to answer a call, accept and then call back and cancel just to make sure they don't get angry.

- Apparently the original GTA3 version of Liberty City isn't even in the game? That seems somewhat impossible. That section should be somewhere and I've got all three major islands open. Sort of annoying.

Pretty small negative points though considering EVERYTHING else about the game is either improved or was already awesome.

Sleep mode. Under "Options" on your phone.

It pauses the story so you can dick around for as long as you'd like.

Finally I can throw grenades out the window instead of shooting an SMG.

Much more effective when being chased, just throw a grenade behind you.

Man I just spent two hours reading the in-game internet and watching the in-game TV.

This game gets better the more I play it, it's like peeling an onion, where a new layer of awesome is revealed each time you get a little deeper

EDIT: In that mission where you have to chase down the Lost guy on the motorcyle, is it possible to kill him before he joins up with his gang? Even if I go in fully armed those guys pretty much kick my ass because there's 7 of them or something.

No, you can't. However that mission's a ton easier if you zip past them and start taking cover behind the nearby trees. In general actually, if you seem to be unable to take someone out with gunfire or they seem to be driving too well to be true, it means you're supposed to chase them.
