Guilty Gear thread

I recently imported Slash... I suck at using Order-Sol.

Order Sol (I like to call him "Fred"

) rocks... too bad his normals have poor priority and Tyrant Rave Omega SUCKS. Still, a pretty fun character with a lot of potential.

Tip: Savage Fang lv.2 is your friend.

have you tried Guilty Gear 2 for the PS2 or the GGX2#Reload for the Xbox? they both came out here and i found em pretty easily after i got back from Iraq

Get #Reload for XBox. More balanced, additional character (Robo Ky), more missions and it's overall better.

Also, you'll only spend (wisely) 20USD for it

And ignore the rants from XB haters, the control has a nice response in that version.

That thread title was so annoying that I changed it.

Anyway, my main character from X2 (though I haven't played many other Guilty Gear games) is Faust. I've also been trying out Venom, but I'm not very good with him yet. I can get Faust's FRCs about 50% of the time, maybe even a little better. It depends on the moves and whether or not I'm in training mode.
I think I'm going to import Slash, because my brother takes his American PS2 with him to college and I'm left with my JPS2 and beatmania IIDX 7th style. I need more imported games anyway.

XX and above have Bridget, so yeah, XX#R does as well.

Is that a problem?

If Bridget isn't in the game, a lot of people wouldn't be able to (unconsciously) get out of the closet

Slash is a great game. probably not the best but Order Sol is interesting to use. i find it kinda hard to charge up his moves during a fight against another human player though.

Charge his levels using Rock It (and holding the button). That move is safe if the opponent blocks it. Charging with 63214D is too riskful.

Most of his standard moves allow you to press Dust shortly after to perform a quick charge. Thats how I finish my friend with lvl. 3 Tyrant Rave.
