The Dynasty Warriors series has been done to death. I have to think that this is a pretty bad idea to say the least.

Japan loves the Dynasty Warriors games though. That’s why they churn out another every other week.

Take some popular anime and make it play like a popular game series? Seems like it would sell to me, even though the game is probably mediocre.

DW games are fine. Koei's handling of the series is something that can be argued, though.

I'm not burnt out on the series because I only bought 2 of the 185 that they made last gen. There's nothing inherently wrong in putting a Gundam wrap around DW; I just hope that combining the two doesn't result in an unplayable mess.

Heck, I'll bet it'll look exactly like the Another Century's Episode series, except that it only has Gundam characters.

If this is a recipe for making a decent Gundam game for once... they're a bit late because I don't care about Gundam anymore. :P

As I said on another forum, I'm willing o give it a shot, but my expectations are really low seeing how the previous PS3 gundam game ended up being pretty crappy.

Actually the SD G Gundam games on PS1/2 are pretty robust SRPGs that have a lot of content and challenge, not to mention the thorough coverage the entire Gundam storyline gets.

That is true. I played Dynasty Warriors 3 and didn't play again until Dynasty Warriors 5. To be honest, this series is becoming like the Street Fighter of this decade in terms of the many incarnations of the same game.

This game actually looks pretty bad-ass, but the pricetag on the ps3 makes me wish it was for 360 as well . Just as long as there aren't any humongous boss's with gigantic blast radius's then I'll be happy Liu Bei of Gundam Mousou better not be something lame I'll say that atleast :/.

The game looks like a winner to me, as well as a selling point for the ps3... not quite.
I'll probably buy the game, and wait for a price cut on the system, its what I did with some ps2 games. I think Koei will be able to do it some justice...

Granted, there is a 95% chance its going to SUCK, but I would still give it a shot.
