I am half-tempted to rebuy the game just so that I have a copy with a manual and an actual COVER. Goddamn used copies sometimes, price be damned.

Atlus is actually really good about giving you a new disc/box/instructions. A friend of mine e-mailed them because he bought Persona 1 used and the disc was really scratched and Atlus let him mail it to them and then sent him a brand-new disc.

Really? Awesome. But if that is true, it just makes me want to snag a new copy for the purpose of keeping these guys going.

Frankly, I don't think there's a single company right now who sums up what is "right" in the gaming industry more than Atlus. They just seem to get it on all levels.

Hmm, I just replaced my Disgaea box with another game I had. No big deal.

The problem with preowned games is the stickers, which usually leave garbage residue behind that causes problems. My copy is american, second hand, but still in excellent condition. I even had the european version but it was blue based.

This game is totally worth buying and playing if you haven't already. I'm 91 hours in and I can't stop.

You're talking to the wrong guy here. My Laharl, with Transmigration, has got somewhere in excess of 25k levels.

I'm almost afraid to buy Disgaea 2, to be honest. I'd probably never go to work (or class!) again.

Why can't just one more company be that understanding? This makes Atlus awesome for at least three reasons now: Disgaea, DonPachi and unheard-of high quality customer service.

you want to hear sad, i made a scout, and got his gun level up to 30.

the reason this is sad is because i went to the 3rd map on jotunheim, combined all the monsters into one monster, had laharl pick them up, and had the scout shoot laharl.

repeatedly. until i got to level 30 with gun skills. just to get the EDF character.

But yes. I spent the time to unlock EVERYTHING. Hell, I even earned the crappiest endings in the process. I don't even want to know how many hours I have on that game.

Yes, but I don't know why you would power up your Laharl to such an absurd level via transmigration when story characters can't transmigrate into Majins.

I soloed the entire game. Even the alternate overlord mission and Item World. How many Majins can do that?
