Initial D for PS3

So, I was thinking of picking up the new Initial D for PS3. Anyone have any comments on it? Good, bad? I have special stage and all those for PSP and PS2 and they're ok but definitely not as good as the arcade with the wheel and all. I should also mention that I play on a controller and not with a wheel so I found the PS2 ones to be very difficult to drive, extremely touchy.

Probably because it doesn't support the online modes. Or so says the page, the reviewer says otherwise.

It applies to all games actually.

Probably because of lower taxation and subsidies.

I've noticed $5 differences here and there. $15 is unusual. The online multiplayer does appear to be the main difference, but it's hard to tell from the reviewers if it's absent in the Asian release. :\

I bought it (Japanese version) and have been playing it for a while now. Online is great BTW and I haven't run into much lag while playing.

Do you play it with a wheel or with the controller?

I use a wheel. You CAN use the controller, but I couldn't really do so.

I was terrible using it. A friend of mine uses the controller and his times are not that far off of mine. I guess it all depends on the player.

The Asian version HAS NO ONLINE GAMEPLAY MODE! You need to buy the Japanese version if you want to play online...

So this sounds like Motorstorm Japan Version then (which was the first to come out but had no online mode)?
