I've always wondered this, but I've been thinking about playing Phantasy Star Universe for either playstation2, Xbox360 or PC. I was wondering which version is the best. That's not the only question I have about it. I'm also aware that the expansion (or sequel) ambitions of illuminus or whatever the hell it's called. Whether or not it's a sequel or expansion is not my question, but if I were to buy both or just one of them, what's the difference and do I still use the same online account?
Is it possible to go online on either without any real loss?

xbox 360 is probably the best version from what I've seen. The PC version has crappy controls unless you have a good controller for your PC (or a usb adapter to use a playstation 2 controller)

i don't know anything about the expansion thing though

Supposedly the 360 version is the best, and the PS2 version is the worst. I haven't played the 360 version though.

The expansion for PC and PS2 has all the same online content + more stuff, and a new offline story, but not the old one. Offline mode was pretty lame anyway though.

Pretty sure the 360 version of AotI is a download.

AotI is a Download for 360. 1600 Points, about 1.9 gigs.

You gain access to the AotI Storyline content offline, as well as online. You choose when you load the game, whether to load in AotI mode or not. If you play PSU, you don't need
it, but it's nice to have.

And having played all 3 versions... 360 is best, PC is the worst if you don't have a good controller; otherwise it's PS2

Do all the versions have different online servers? I was thinking about getting this as well. I have a usb 360 controller that i could use on my computer if i needed.

360 = Easy ass achievements, just beat the game and you're golden for all 1000 gamerpoints.

I never beat it though.

Hmmm so basically, just get the Xbox 360 version of AotI and I'm good. Now one final question if this thread isn't completely screwed, Is the monthly fee worth it, and if not, is there an expansion?!
