Seconding Arimasen. It worked in 2D. Bringing it into a game that has a much better battle system, though? Ugh.

Let me guess, it will be a Japan only release, with a couple of very important scenes that you have to see in order to make a connection with this and the next in the series.

guys, soras in his normal duds, its either a minigame, or they put CoM into the 3-d perspective and made it its own game.

but a final mix for Kh2? im definately a supporter.

Isn't final mix the same as the NA version since the Jap. release didn't have everything the NA did right? Wasn't there also another game with the FinalMix subtext on it that was basically everything I said above?

what is comfirmed so far:
-larger version of the secret video in original KH2
-dialogues will be in english (like in FFX international)
-one of the "chasers" (the guys in FFXII like armors) revealed
rumors:
-it will be 2 discs (one for KH2 and other for CoM)
that's all i know :P

The Chain of Memories battle system wasn't that great because you could only normally attack left and right. Though in 3-D it may not be so bad anymore.

Not exactly. Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix was the US game, yes, since we did have some extras over the Japanese. But then, they turned that around and added more to the version we had: at least one extra boss (I can only recall the one), new Keyblades, extra Ansem Reports, and a longer version of the "good ending" cinema (ie, the guys running on buildings) that became known as the Deep Dive clip. It sounds like that last one, at the least, is happening again.

The question is, with my import-savvy buddy out of town, will it be worth snagging a copy to play this time around if I can't understand a damn thing?

Ah, that's the one. (And if I recall, although this may have been my distinct lack of Japanese at work, Xemnas was going by some other name... "Unknown" or "Nameless" or something like that.)

There was also an accual fight where Sora and Roxas were fighting over control of the body. I think.

Vangulus: Not that I recall... but again, we've proven my memory of KH1:FM a little fuzzy already. (I don't recall any mention of Roxas pre-CoM.)
