Which ones? The Chinese match videos are the only ones worth watching, methinks.

Not sure. When some asian people come and play here (using top strategies and top chars, according to stats and all that shit), they usually get raped because they're not used to people actually playing the game with a wider variety of characters, combos and different stuff.

Heck, I still remember when I beat a japanese guy in KOFXI who used that annoying KGO team and I was playing RANDOM (he did challenge me, BTW) :|

Players who play to win are boring, square and they tend to repeat the same gimmicks and stuff.

You're going to have to give me links to match vids then, because when I was watching KOFXI videos I seen japanese, korean, chinese, and brazilian matches, and the chinese and korean match videos were the most enjoyable. Like you mentioned, Japanese match videos tend to get boring because everyone uses the same characters.

Also just because an "asian" person uses what is considered a high level team doesn't mean they're good, they could just have used them because they seen good players use them.

To be honest when I watched matched videos, seeing all of the quick shifting combos is exciting and makes the game fun to watch.

1.- Sorry, no one records videos of matches here :/ You can try looking for something at youtube but I can't guarantee you'll find a lot.

2.- In fact, the guy before was also playing and he did know how to do all the KGO bullshit, including Oswald's +70 hits combo where he doesn't let you even land. If some people (including me) could beat him is because he didn't know how to react to stuff which isn't exactly high lv crap. Heck, the instant I beat his Gato using Malin I could tell that.

3.- Seriously people, I never wanted to use the "asian" in an insulting or whatever way. It was just a way for me to say that most of asian styles are similar (except Korea's, I must admit), and my most recent experiences in GGPO with KOF98 do only reafirm what I've seen.

I understand what you're saying, its the reason I stopped watching the Tougeki videos teams of KGO got tiring to watch

Also I heard DarkGeese heads down to Mexico to play a lot in tournaments, I guess I should ask if you are a casual player, tournament player or like a semi-competitive level among your friends, etc.

I just play for fun. I wouldn't say I'm a top player around here but at least I know my stuff and I think I can give anyone a decent fight.

In GGPO (KOF98), the people who's given me the biggest troubles:

-Mexicans.
-Colombians.
-Chileans.
-Koreans.
-Britanics.

And that's it.

DarkGeese is considered one of the best American players in KOF games, I forget if he is also one of the people who is pretty at most fighting games. He is talked a lot on shoryuken boards. I know he goes down their for fighting game tournaments. He's pretty fun to watch.

No offense, but my experience with (overall) US KOF players have been pretty dissapointing :/ At least in KOF98 (I don't really like to play KOF XI that much).

Well, my friend told me since he goes to Shoryuken and he is more in the fighting game scene, I usually ask him about that kind of stuff.

Haha, there are good KOF98 players here, I seen them play at Arcade Infinity, lol but they are Chinese players haha.
