I swore I saw SH2 for PS2.

And Silent Hill 4 I stopped playing at the second time in the garden because it just got stupid.

Silent Hill 1 all the way. The best chapter of the entire saga, just because it's plain and totally sick. I won't ever be able to forget the school and the hospital.

Oh, and yes... the soundtrack. Akira Yamaoka is surely a very scary guy :x Everytime I listen to "Devil's Lyric" and "DIE", all the traumas caused by this game come back to my mind.

Ah, and "Esperándote" (the ED theme) is surprisingly good :s

*LOL @ the SH2 Dog ending*

Someone on GameFAQs pointed out to me that if you listen closely when James is in the room with the dog, you can hear In My Eyes playing in the background.

I've played Silent Hill 2 and 3 all the way through at least once, I got to the second subway in SH4 before I got bored, and I never bothered to play much of SH1 (yeah, I know...)

Now, let's talk about music. I Want Love (Studio Mix) is one of Akira Yamaoka's best songs, next to Injection of Love. That is a fact, not an opinion.

Silent Hill 2 is rad, 3 is pretty good, and 4 was a bit frustrating and different but still totally awesome.

I hate what they have made to SH 4, they really destroyed the whole concept of Silent Hill, I hope they dont think to do the same for SH5....

Beat SH1 (took me like 6 months because I was too scared to play more than 20 mins at a sitting) am almost done with SH2 (at the meuseum, been to scared to move for a LONG time) barely started SH3 (beat the mall, that's it) not interested in SH4 (they took the flashlight away!!!).

The game is truly masterful in what it does. It doesn't just surprise you, it makes you hate (to the nth degree) going through doors. The ambiance music is tuned perfectly in each series and really adds that flare to the whole experience. Visually, the games are all gorgeous in their own way. Even SH1 had a superb scary factor to it, almost completely attributed to the plainess of the scenery. I've never simultaneous hated and loved as passionately in my life as I do the radio. You know which one. The static that emits when a creature is near (but you can't see it damn it!!!) or rings when a different type is around/multiple enemies are close by. I can't say enough good things about this series, even though I am too scared to play very far into it.

I'd have to say that my favorite one so far though, would have to be SH2. The surprises and such (the crying when walking through the hallways of the apartments) almost, literally, made me shit my pants. It just seems really well done and to have learned best from the strengths/weaknesses of it's predecessor. This opinion is somewhat biased though, as I've hardly experienced the world of SH3.

Ohh yeah I remember when the cat went out from the pigeonhole and I jumpin because that day was raining and everything was dark I was really scared but the
action was more powerful than my fear

And the funny thing is that we confused the gnomes with little bears (because they are realy likes little bears)

And in SH4 I really scared when I saw the ghost by the first time but I jump agian when I saw the giant heads with hands
