Default latest PSP hack lets you use PS1 isos

Some might find this interesting.

There's some necessary reading and files in these places if you want to do it:

http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=46806
http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=40523

I'm not sure about the details so don't ask me.

Damn.

One vital piece of info I overlooked while choosing between a PSP and a DS.

I was asking all my friends who had PSPs if there was a PSX emu for it and they all said no

Ah well....I'll still get some money next week anyway.....

Actually the latest FW update allows you to make PSX EBOOTS. But 2 homebew applications are released to do it for you with a nice pretty GUI.

ROTFLOL! Honestly, I'm surprised that this didn't come out sooner given how powerful the PSP is. I have to wonder how good the graphics are and if they are in the original aspect ratio or stretched to fit the PSP's widescreen.

Actually, there's 3 different screen sizes to use.

There's an "original size" one, one that expands the viewing window to the top and bottom of the screen (while keeping the original aspect ratio), and one that stretches to full screen.

For most games, I just do full screen since having the game easier to see is more important than the "correct" aspect ratio to me, at least when it comes to a tiny handheld screen.

Some games like Beatmania still have a sync issue with keysounds and BGM timing but other than that, the games run fine. Feels like a PSP game which is nice.
