I'm aware there is an older thread, but I ain't bumping a year old thread. It's a sort of thing to get a thread closed. Anyways, I am looking forward to this title this year, especially since the 360 I'm getting wouldn't come at a better time. Anyone looking forward to this or have played it yet? I heard it sold even more than the Orange Box bundle.

Yeah, I heard it is played best online. I'll check out the technology about which ISP to use for Xbox Live.

Your isp shouldn't really matter as long as it's some kind of broadband.

Game is awesome.

Even Single Player is tolerable if you're in the mood to shout at AI characters because they won't help you because Bill's off Raping Louis.

Played it at a friends house online yesterday and it was awesome! I bought it today; haven't had the chance to play it yet but I know what to expect!

You should always rape at least 2 Survivors as a Tank, anything else is just a waste and you play bad.

Pretty much the Tank should aim to incap as quickly as you can. You either draw the other Survivors in as they try to save the downed guy or you scatter them to be picked off by the other special Infected.
I will say though, if it's capable of running it, the PC version would be nice due to custom maps and likely more support from Valve.

When you're playing as Tank, don't bother killing Incapped Survivors, doesn't deal enough Damage and more often than not other players seem to abandon any Incapped people being hit by the Tank if they're near the safe room, just don't stray too far from Incapped Survivors and make sure they die slowly and concentrate on keeping as many Survivors immobile as possible.

Plus, incapped Survivors only have pistols to poke you with. While you're busy sticking your cock into a downed Zoey, the other 3 are loading shotgun rounds into your back, if they're not already halfway across the map.

I attempted. I'm not too great at first-person shooters, but I actually had fun with it.

If I have a friend who has it, I'll have to go to their place and place it some more.

This game is WORTHLESS without online play. It is a true blue co-op game, and should be played as such. Preferably with people you know, so you can bitch at them for being stupid.

Also: Do not, I repeat, DO NOT quit in the middle of a session. I don't care if you turn your head to see a gaggle of porn stars nude on your bed waiting for you. Leaving the team to an AI (or worse, if you're Infected your team just doesn't get a fourth SI) is lame. Start what you finish -- it's how you get better, and it's how you DON'T get shot for going AFK or otherwise.

Strange that the sniper rifle has no zoom (via the scope) but whatever.....

Anyhow:
I'm still fairly new to this (and I haven't played it for more than a month now) and personally, I found it fun just playing by myself. However, obviously (as everyone else here pointed out), it's much better to play with others.

P.S.
Boomers, even if it is irritating to have blurred vision when in proximity with them, are fun to kill. Indeed, shooting these fat blobs into pieces is hell of fun and the details and textures are so unparallel (esp. when running at 4x MSAA and with Anisotropic Filtering on). I'm totally speechless by it
