Default Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening

Anyone else wanna see this game remade? It had so many fun little things you could do, like becoming a renowned theif, and taking your girlfriend on adventures.

I think it's too early. I'm guessing this will be considered with the DS' successor.

Other than update the graphics & sound, there isn't much you can do...

It might be better to have a compilation of the 3 GB Zeldas updated like this or do a VC release of them.

This. Updating the graphics and sound would not make the game better.

I am hoping for somthing along a colab release or a vc release. The games amazing, and, I thought it was fairly old. Isnt it at least as old as......like, FFVI?

I want to say 1994. *checks gamefaqs* 1993, actually. It's plenty old, more than old enough for a remake. It's just that, in my opinion, with the exception of Metroid Zero Mission, and Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green, every remake Nintendo has ever done has been inferior to the original. And Pokemon had some issues too, but the good outweighed the bad.

If the only thing they did was update the graphics and sound it'd be worth considering, but somehow I don't think it'd be left at that, so seconded the above.

I disagree, I like FF7 more than FF6 because its so much easier to get into it. (aside from liking the characters+story+music better) Just look at Crisis Core and tell me that would be as good on Gameboy or Super Nintendo? Or how FF6 could be better than FF7 because it's in 2D.

Crisis Core would likely be as good on Super Nintendo because they wouldn't rely so heavily on eye candy to sell, and focus on making a solid game. Also, FF6 was quite good. I think you should really consider the important aspects of a game as well, i.e. gameplay and story.

I'm with this.

Link's Awakening is my favorite Zelda of all time, and with Oracle of Ages and Seasons those two go hand in hand and need to be played together for things (or last I remember they do).

Redoing anything would pretty much ruin it for me unless they didn't change a single aspect of the game except an extra dungeon or so like they did Link's Awakening DX.

If FF6 were 3D and FF7 were 2D, FF6 would still be a better game. The graphics and platform have little to do with it. It has a much better story and has a better character system (Materia was fun to tool around with but offered too much customization and made every character pretty much the same if you needed them to be; FFVI's characters all had different purposes and nuances, and no amount of leveling would make them all be the same).

I personally like FFVII more than FFVI, but I fail to see how FFVII is easier to get in to. There was much less to explain in FFVI than in FFVII.

FFVII was designed as a PS game, and thusly it works as one. Same goes for Zelda LA. It was designed as a GB game, and it works just fine as a GB game. The only improvement I can imagine is the ability to use more than two buttons.

How is FF6's story better than FF7's? Or the characters or music and especially the graphics?

Lets NOT turn this into a discussion about which final fantasy is better, because we all know that everyone thinks its a different one. 6, 7, and 8 are all good for different people, lets end it at that.

So, links awakening........
