the game is soooooo cute~ that it's actually fun to play!

You guys know the English demo is out. Get on your PSP, open the internet browser and browse to psp.playstation.com. There you can download the English Demo straight from the PSP Browser to your PSP.

So... does this mean I should actually upgrade from 1.5 now or should I stay put and continue to play my homebrew stuff?

I mean, I love having my emulators on my PSP, but Loco Roco DOES sound pretty tempting...

You can play Loco Roco on 1.5 under DevHook, I believe.

LocoRoco English Demo requires 2.71 firmware. 1.5 is so old, why do you still have that... You dont need homebrew THAT bad do you?

Well, besides emulators, I've also picked up a program or two so I can watch any media I have on the computer without converting it.

Mostly, I haven't upgraded because I haven't found enough good games that warrant an upgrade, though I might change this once I move and start getting regular work again; Me & My Katamari, the 2 Megaman remakes, Daxter, Syphon Filter and now Loco Roco are on my need to play list. The only games I actually considered worth my money since the PSP was announced were Wipeout Pure and Lumines.

Homebrew has been a hell of a lot better than most game releases. You can fully emulate 2.5 firmware now with DevHook, so there's no point in upgrading so far. I can play an ISO or the UMD of almost any game that's been released, and still play any emulators or homebrew on 1.5.

I used to love my homebrew stuff, but my PSP had an accident and the replacement had newer firmware on it. I'm glad I was forced to upgrade, because LocoRoco is fucking awesome. I've been playing the demo on vacation occasionally and can't wait to get the full one very soon. I'm told the English version has different vocals, though, so I may just import.

The music from the demo is great!!.. i downloaded it and blared it on my stereo until i was practically deaf.. if the english version has different music.. rather.. if it is in english.. that will be disappointing.. i bought the psp when it was sold with 1.5... and i upgraded it immediately.. but it did not take long before i realized what i had done... i was not able to use homebrew.. then when 2.5 came out.. i did that right away too.. then i realized that i was able to downgrade... i found something that said it would downgrade it to 1.5 from 2.5... i did it.. and i got the blue screen of death on it.. but then it said upgrade to 1.5.. i did... and nothing worked. so then i put it back on 2.5 and it worked.. but about a week afterwards i got the same blue screen of death... but.. it has been working fine since 2.5 came out.. and currently i have 2.8.. cant wait till 3.0
