Any MVC2 players here?
What do you do in the game? Who do you use?
Does anyone use Cammy?
If you do, I have a question. The KBA combo that people talk about using on the ARC version....I cant get it to work on the PS2 version. The person always falls before KBA hits. Is it not possible in the home version? I do Lp, C.Mp, C.Hp, Jump, Lp, Lk, Mk, Cannon Drill, and then KBA. Ive only gotten it to connect once, so is it a timing issue?
Oh, and is the only difference between the two wolverines that one can cancel his moves?
Edit: I answered my own question about Cammy, you have to use the Hk Cannon Drill, not the Lk Cannon drill, the Hk one hits them higher i guess.

Messed around with it on emulators with friends, I've never played competitively. Strider/Morrigan are my favorites.

Yeah, MVC2 is pretty old now, I've moved onto GGXX/MB:AC/AH/BBB. Anyway, I used SonSon, Sakura and that Tron Bonne/Servbot thing...

Also, Metly Blood and Arcana Heart suck dick comparedto MVC2. The only reason either of them are popular is because Melty Blood is Type Moon and Arcana Heart has an all female cast.
Melty Blood is alright by itself but its not that good compared to others. Arcana Heart is just awful all together. I couldn't stand playing it and the only thing it had going for it was the whole moe thing and the girls.

Unless they were thinking about competitive balance when making a character with top tier offense and defense, doesn't take knockback, does chip damage with standard moves and has a beam projectile mapped to strong attack. seriously, with 50+ characters, you can't expect it to be hyper-balanced.

Melee is a more legitimate competitive fighter than MvC2, because while broken it's the only game of it's type. And I'm not going to say any more than that, because 99% of the people who are against competitive Smash play have no idea what they are talking about. | |
