nah, it's still in the 3rd-Person perspective. if you played the Online Mode in Subsistence, it's pretty much the same thing but with really pretty HD graphics, the SOP System, and a doozy of other goodies.
i'm sorry but for some reason i can't help but be excited. even after the massive server crash in Europe

ps - halo3 sucks. 
edit: for those of you that don't know, the beta won't start until friday night 24:00 PST (not eastern, central, or mountain time).
