call of duty 4: modern warfare was such a great game. i can't wait for this sequel.

Is there a release date for this stuff? Because I'd love to see the idea of COD4 with some of the improvements made in World At War. Like all the multiplayer modes...

I've never been interested in Call of Duty games for some reason, but I reckon I'll pick this up - all my friends seem to be anyway =P

See, that "teaser" had all the appeal of "listening to random radio noises." I kinda lost interest. 11/10/09, however... if that's a solid date, that is GREAT news. Gives me all summer to warm up for it by prestige-ing the fuck out of the previous games.

For me, it's only the Modern Warfare series that has hyped me up (hence why I skipped World at War...though the classic COD games are still quite neat regardless).

I'm definitely going to look out for this.

I honestly thought that World At War was the best COD for this generation. COD4 is an excellent game, but WaW got the polish for single player, co-op, and multiplayer. I think the hinge is really whether or not you were sick of the WWII scenarios. If you were, it made sense to skip the game. If you're a fan of the motif, however, it was a must buy.

Also: In WaW you got to take town the Reich. That's just cool. It seems like you're fighting terrorists of some kind in just about every game these days... whatever happened to the good old days of fighting Hitler?
