Without spoiling too much, if you choose to ignore the warning upon beginning the game, and play through "No Russian," and don't feel some form of horror or numbness upon playing said mission, you need to see a shrink. If this game doesn't get Game of the Year, I will be shocked.

I did kinda cringe when i first played it but the second time thru on veteren isnt as bad. Its probably because I already had to do it once before.

I didn't like how Price turned out to be a kind of bad guy. It was all
Price: Sheperd we're gonna bomb the us to scare away the Russians
Sheperd: No man don't do that.
Price: I'll meet you halfway *causes serious fuckage*
Sheperd: I don't trust you guys anymore *shoots R+G*
Price: That sonofabitch, we're gonna kill him!

This is probably Game of the Year... even though the story wasn't TOTALLY resolved at the end.

Why did they have to kill half the cool characters? Ghost and Roach deserved another game, dammit!

Regardless of any criticism it is put upon due to extremely short storyline (relative to other games in the series), I and I guess many others believe that this game still kicks @$$.

That and the the ability to fire missiles from the Predator drone is fucking awesome shit!

Price being a "bad guy" is subjective because he just had an alternate idea of ending the war that Shepherd didn't agree with, so Shepherd fucked them over when Ghost got the information in Russia. Price launching that ICBM from the Russian sub was a necessary evil.

I actually really thought the storyline was incredible. Despite it being rather short, it was a really fun playthrough.
