We're trying to avoid fanboy-ism and a flood of fights. You're all welcome to you opinions, but keep them just that. Your opinion.

For no specific reason, I enjoy the Wii.

Dreamcast. Great platform, great controllers. Just a lack of support due to the Saturn fiasco. Died an untimely death.

The XBox offered me a lot of games I still play and enjoy greatly. Probably it doesn't have the biggest library of games, but it has the games I like. And that's what really matters.

XBL is a nice plus, too.

The Dreamcast is tied with the XBox, for the same reasons. Also, there are a lot of imports that are worth it (AKA fighting games).

SNES no contest. There is no possible negative any one person can find with the SNES except maybe that they don't make games for it anymore.

I have to say SNES is also my favorite console. No contest.

As far as this gen...phew...Gamecube and PS2 are so split in my mind that it's just too hard to rule one over the other. Cube has so many fun (Melee) and addicting (Animal Crossing) games, and PS2 has such a large library that there's a lot of variety in games. I can get my SRPG fix with Nippon Ichi's offerings (La Pucelle and Disgaea...drool) my music game fix with Bemani, and still play all the old PS1 games I love.

I second the Dreamcast. That was one sleek system. It spawned two of my favorite RPGs (Grandia II and Skies of Arcadia) and, like the Cube, had a lot of genuinely fun-to-play games, like Jet Grind and Sonic Adventure.

XBox...I've never owned one, but the list of titles I'd like to play is actually pretty big for a console I don't own. The Ultramixes sound cool, and I found myself wanting to play Psychonauts after watching a G4 documentary on Tim Schafer that went into a lot about Double Fine and the creative process on the game. Ultimately, I would buy one for KOTOR I and II.

*shrugs* I dunno, I think gaming is like baseball for me. I grew up liking one team (the Cardinals, w00t) but eventually branched out into taking an interest in all the teams and all the stories. I'd go broke if I tried to own every system, but I think every system has good stuff.

Well, each console kinda have one interesting unique feature:

XBox:
+4 Players with no multi tap.
+Custom Soundtrack ability: nice to listen to "Daikenkai", while capping people in
GTA: San ******s.
+Better online: Live
+Comes with hard drive.
-Controllers maybe a little unfriendly with some arcade game, like fighters.
-DDR game on that kinda has alittle bad timing.
-DVD player requires a remote.
-Live isn't free.

PS2:
+Best controller
+Support non online 8 Player games through 2 multi taps.
+Bemani friendly
+DVD player: No Remote required.
+Free online
+Can play PS1 games
-Slow online
-Doesn't come with Hard Drive. Also, slim model doesn't support it.
-Needs multi tap for 4 Players. Well one multi tap gives you 5.

Gamecube
+4 Players with no multi tap
+Best 1st Party titles
-No online
-Not a DVD player
-Some games are 2 disks: ie RE4 I think.
-Controller seems only useful for platformers and FPS.

But to me, the graphics on all three of them are the same. But I use the PS2 and XBox more than the GC, since those are the only two I own so far.

But Wii will be the next console I'll be getting, which will also mean that I'll own a GC soon.
