Marketplace Rating: 1 | Nintendo DS lite: Is it worth getting I have an orginal DS and I like it fine. Sence everyone is going crazy over the DS lite, I want to know if its worth getting. I've seen the DS lite before at a store on display and the screen was just amazing.
I wanted to ask about somethings that I was wondering about. When I played the one on exibition, It seemed a bit small. Is the size a even a problem and somthing you didn't even think about when you got it? The size for the DS now is fine with me.
Is battery life better? I've heard some things but is it really noticeable?
And last, price. I heard some places take old DS's in for some payoff but how much?
Thanks to whoever can answer these questions.

The screen wills spin and battle music will start to play. You and drunk friends will be forced to stand in a line rocking back and forth holding over sized swords. A group of retarded looking monsters will appear and you will take turns hitting each other. When it is all over you will get 648 Gil and a fire ring. Why the 12 foot tall monster with no hands had a fire ring that fits everyone from you to your grandma will still be mystery to man.

Thanks to whoever can answer these questions. | the size of it is easy to get the hang of after a night playing.
battery life is better, yeah. it lasts as long as the normal DS on its highest light setting, i think. dont quote me on it.
color is MUCH more vibrant, i love it.

Thanks to whoever can answer these questions. | 1. Yes
2. The size of the new one is perfectly comfortable. I held both versions the same way and noticed little change.
3. I also heard at it's brightest "death" setting, its as long as the regular DS. Of the 4 brightness settings, the lowest is the original DS, the 2nd is GBA Micro, and the 3rd is about PSP, and the 4th is death.
4. I got 70 bucks off my DS Lite for trading in my DS Fat. I heard it was a week-only thing, but I think its at 50 now.

Marketplace Rating: 3 | I personally use the highest brightness settings on my enamel navy lite (have been since march) and I get anywhere from 8-12 hours of gameplay out of it. The original DS is still completely functional, but the lite is just amazing. Aside from being a game collector, the only reason I kept my original DS is because I got it signed by Koji Kondo, Charles Martinet and Reggie Fils-Aime at E3 this year.

Yes, obv, it's worth getting. I've had mine since near launch, and it's totally worth it. There's absolutely no down side to it, except for the GBA cartridges sticking out 1 cm. Companies are already making flash carts and there's already a way to flash your DS Lite so it's not like that's a difficult task, either.
However, I'm legit. I've been collecting DS titles for awhile and I'm set to have the largest DS collection in New Zealand. I'd still like to try out the piracy act of the DS scene sometime, but I don't know if that will be happening soon.
And the first level of brightness lasts longer than an iPod. Roughly around 18 hours.

Marketplace Rating: 2 | The screen quality really is stupidly good. As soon as I get paid I intend to get one just because I'd like to be able to play games outside. I also thought it was a little more comfortable than the original just because it is a little bit smaller and lighter, but if you have ridiculous hands that might be a problem.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | I got mine on the 11th and I have played it everyday since then, compared to my old DS which I'd only touch every so often. The lite is amazing.
Given a choice between the old DS and a lite, I really can't see any reason for anyone to take the old one.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Yeah, the brightness is what makes the system. Gunstar Super Heroes has never looked this good. The only reason I would see holding off on buying one is if you wanted it in some flashy color. I got mine in white (the only one available now, right?) so you may want to pass if you have to have blue or something.
