So ya'll know my epic quest to find a pink Lite resulted in a 2.00-less-than-full-price-with-tax-something find from Craigslist.

Yeah, yeah, risky. Not really though since Lites came out June '06 and they have a 1-year warranty.

At one point, I noticed my L button/trigger would simply not press. After some vigorous WarioWare Twisted! screwing around, I heard a rattling noise. The object inside was not only loose but could also lodge itself in and out of the area where the L button is being pressed.

So I sent Nintendo a form online about it and a few days later I get the paperwork. It was under warranty so I didn't have to pay. I kinda got sidetracked so I ended up sending the thing by UPS a week later. I noticed that the address was an hour's drive away. I sent the thing off on last Thursday in the afternoon. I got an e-mail yesterday that the product was received, which I guess was alright.

Today, at 6:20am, I got another mail saying the thing's on its way back. Neat, right? NO. I got a brand new pink Lite exactly 4 hours later!

So awesome.

...almost. I have to buy screen protectors again. :P

EDIT- Something quite interesting to note is that the very box the Lite was contained in had a large sticker descriptor that said the thing was made on September 18th, 2006.

So wait, are pink DS Lites completely gone now other than the Paris Hilton one? Either way, nice. I recently submitted an RMA for my headset (SteelSound 5H V2 USB) because the USB sound card was broken, but they ended up sending me the entire headset again. 8) Two $120 headsets now. :b

No. DS Lites in general are just hard to come by right now (since they were insanely popular during Christmas) and Pink was the most popular colour. So they're just harder to find than a White or Black Lite is. That's all. Nothing more or less.

I can't fucking believe I just WASTED 7 bucks on that fucking screen protector. I scratched the touch-screen screen AND the normal one got dirt on it.

Very carefully....theres no real way...I had to buy the protectors two times because the first one I got so fed up with that I just ripped it in anger.

There's no need for screen protectors. The screen on the touch panel is thicker and heavy-duty for precisely that reason.

I have minor scratches on mine from before i got screen protectors because of little bits of dust

Clean the screens off first, then spray the screen protector down with Windex on the side that goes down on the screen itself. Place on the screen starting with one corner first and working SLOWLY, pressing firmly to squeeze out all the excess cleaner fluid as you go. If done correctly, the protector should be on perfectly and you'll have no air bubbles or anything on your screen.

Use a credit card and just slide it along for the "press firmly" part and you won't have any problems at all.

Was the dust made of KNIVES? Seriously, I've used my DS for hundreds of hours. I've thrown it and had it skip off my bed into a wall. It's gone down stairs with the top opened, landing screen down on the ground. I played Ouendan to DEATH, Meteos for hundreds of matches, scribbled in Feel the Magic and dozens of other things and I don't have a single scratch on my touch screen ANYWHERE. It's a bit dirty, but I just need to wipe it off. Hell, the paint's barely scratched on it.

Also, the Target not one mile from my house has 8 pink DS Lites.

You have a nasty habit of assigning your experiences to everyone else, and that doesn't work. The DS touchscreen is pretty fragile and spending seven fucking dollars to guarantee that you don't fuck it up is money used well.

It's not just my own experience on this. It's every other DS I've ever seen in person. Not a single person I know has gotten a single scratch on their DS' touch screen and most of them have used it just as much as me, and have dropped probably twice as much.

You're doing the same thing you accuse me of. Your DS got a scratch on it so the touch screen's a hunk of crap? Oh yeah, guess mine's magic and invulnerable to all outside forces.

Or let me guess, you're also basing this on other peoples' experiences too, just as I am, except I actually thought of this and you were just being a jackass.
