How many discs were those games, and how much data do they each take up? I know most games that split into multiple discs do not do so randomly... they don't usually take up the maximum amount of disc space before moving onto the next disc. After all, who wants to switch discs for an hour of content, right?

One of the main problems with the disc, however, is the lag on the load times on the disc. That's more or less why Sony has been wanting to push towards digital for a long time now because of the disc format not offering that great of performance when it comes to games, since the PRO DUO cards generally perform a lot better when it comes down to it.
Since it's up to 16GB for the DUO cards and now 32GB in the works for this year...it's becoming easier to think that it'll become better to just rely on those cards instead. | |

Urr, does anyone know such a thing? I find that PSP games in general run better from the ProDUO anyways.

Whether they continue with Pro Duo as well is anyone's guess...but considering it's a Sony-based brand of data and it's worked for them, it wouldn't be surprising. 32GB in 2009 is still a lot of data for a portable system considering that PS3s exist in 20 and 40 gig models (or, of course, better...as well as custom hard drives like mine).
If there was a UMD-less PSP2, I wouldn't be surprised and I wouldn't be annoyed. Most people use their Pro Duo and PSPs modded in that regard anyways for more than just playing UMD games as it is.
As for Persona in general right now: that one MMO is now mobile.

Not to mention load times are ALREADY better than that of the UMD drive.
For home consoles, the optical mediums make sense -- DVDs and Blu-rays both put up reasonable load times, especially given the quality of games they help bring to your screen. But when it comes to portables, you really have to worry about wait times, especially when using larger amounts of data.
Easiest example of bad UMD-ness: Mana Khemia: Student Alliance. A good port graphics and content wise... but the appearance of five to ten seconds of loading screens ALL THE TIME kills the experience. In a way, such are the virtues and vices of the optical media.
Or maybe just the PSP? I mean, what has horrible load times for the DS?

I wonder what the game is going to be rated. Considering the original was K-to-A (what they used before E) & it's rated B in Japan (or 12+), perhaps this'll be the 1st Persona in a while that isn't rated M.
& why did Revelations get removed from the title? Kinda seems weird the remake is just called "Persona". You'd think they'd add some subtitle to indicate that it's a remake or something...

The USA version will almost certainly have the SMT banner slapped on the front.
