Yea I tried it and it works. Its probably just a feature that scrapped and never removed entirely.

My guess, Nintendo was probably planning to release their own wireless router for a total dumbass. Hence you activate the feature on the DS, and push a button on your router, BAM! Its set up perfectly with no problems. Probably cancelled the idea when they saw a USB adaptor as much easier and cheaper to manufacture.

It takes a little while but it works because its the game and not the DS.

Just find the best point you can and try for a little while. That guy made it look easy but it takes a little while to do.
