Then you use Spikes again to double the effect, hence "Stacking"
Then you use Toxic Spikes/Stealth Rock. Spikes effect is negated and now the new one is in effect.
Better now? | |

use spikes up to three times to get it stacked
then use toxic spikes to get that stacked three more times
then stealth rock three more times for triple damage stack but it doesn't work sadly

Better now? | Much clearer. I didn't know what you meant the first time, but it makes enough sense now.
My question is this: What the hell kind of pokemon would have two or more moves from that list in their moveset?
...and the strategy is meh, as it would take an eon to set up... not to mention Rapid Spin completely nulls it.

Bug/Steel is an iffy type matching though.

And I agree -- Bug/Steel is, at best, iffy. I don't think it's stats are too hardcore either.

I've decided against using the Forretress anyway, considering that double weakness to fire is probably a bad thing combined with the 60 base Special Defense, so a Flamethrower or two could take it down really quickly. Not to mention it's slow.
With that being said, I'm now trying to figure out what to use for a mixed sweeper, preferably something Water type. I was thinking Octillery, but I'm not quite sure yet. Does anyone else have any ideas about this?

Nothing in water really lends itself well to "mixed" sweeping. Most things are too slow -- unless you use Ubers, where Manaphy and the like rule.
You could, in theory, adapt things like Starmie to the job, but you'd really just be pulling the spokes out of a good Special sweeper.
My personal preference is usually to run different things for different situations -- granted, switching IS a huge risk factor.
...you know, all this talk makes me want to build a Starmie something like this:
252 Satk /252 Spd / 4Hp
Surf/Ice Beam/Psychic/Thunderbolt (or maybe Flash Cannon... who knows)
Probably a Choice Specs/Scarf set. Probably a speed boosting nature, too.
...I just want to switch into a Zapdos and wreck it out of nowhere with a crazed ice beam or something.

God, my Ralts was just barely surviving. Even with Confusion as the STAB, it only did around 25% of taking away the HP. It was my Gallade Ralts too so you know I really couldn't use Thunderbolt. -_-
For God's sake, no matter what, blow your money/BP on 10 Zincs. You'll need it.

Pokerus as well..
Once you get a method down for earning the points, though, the rest is pie.

-_- | I meant Macho Brace. I don't know why I confused the two. And, uhm, if people want Pokerus, I can get it for you easily, as I have a host of them in boxes.
...just be warned that it spreads quick if you don't isolate it. What I do every once in a while is infect a party I'm not going to use and stick it in a box... so when I need it, I can pass it on.
Anyone who needs/wants Pokerus should PM me or something -- just know that I am around very sporatically, and I work nights.
