All of Shaymin's stats should be very close, except for the ones influenced by it's nature.

No they won't. Shaymin is an event pokemon, which means that you have to go to a Nintendo event to be given an item that takes you to the area that an event pokekmon is. So for him to have caught it, he had to use a gameshark or other device.

I only use an Action Replay for items like potions.
Northeast of the pkmn league you find this weird looking rock.
I noticed the rocks in the water to the north separated, so i tried surfing around there, and found a really long pathway.

So iono.

Action Replay falls under "other device". And using an action replay for potions? How hard are potions to come by?

The 3 event pokemon have not been released in North America yet. Unless you got it from a japanese cartridge from the GTS, there is no way that you could legitimately have obtained it. And since you said you caught it, that rules the GTS out.

I meant more at a certain time i needed potions(Max Potions).
Like during the Victory Road trek when i was broke.(literally 12 money left).

How can you be that short on money? All I bought were Great Balls (30) and Ultra Balls (100) before the Elite 4, then I finally bought some Revives and Max Potions for the Elite 4 (way too many, too), which I never do, but I wanted to get to post-game faster, and I still had 120k+ left.

Anyway, I finally caught my first D/P shiny last night... BUT IT WAS BIDOOF.

I am so mad.

For some reason I can't get to the end or whatever of the Galactic HQ in Veilstone. I tried for so long. I must be an idiot. What am I doing wrong!!!

I'll have to look at the guide book when I go into work tomorrow... (such a cheat I am).

*shrug*

But it seems that is all I have to do at the moment... I went to the other lakes and took care of that... then I used Rock Climb all over the place. Am I missing something?

I'm probably just really dumb...

Shaymin's kinda weak for battling (among the super hidden legendaries); I'd rather go for Darkrai ^__^.

My Planned Set-up (should I get one):
(that put all opponents to sleep, 80% chance attack), Dream Eater, Nightmare, (some other move)

Basic Tactic: Enemies sleep and start taking damage every turn due to sp effect, then spamming Nightmare worsens problem. A good sweeper can finish the job ^__^.

Planning to go for Speed and Sp Atk, as those are the things it needs, but I forgot how its base stats go.

I need some advice, what should I ideally bring with me to face the elite 4?

I got as far as lucian when I tested it out for the first time but his Bronzong killed me, and I get the feeling Cynthia will be a lot worse.

The elite 4 aren't too bad if you're well stocked with items and diversified in your types.

1st Elite - Have anything, this guy is a joke
2nd Elite - Have a grass type, you'll rape this bitch with a tire iron
3rd Elite - A fighting type will make this guy a lot easier, also have a ground or electric
4th Elite - Have a dark type or good dark move (crunch), he shouldn't been too hard
Cynthia - You'll need some heavy hitters, especially against her Spiritomb since it doesn't have a weakness. If you have the above recommended types you'll do fine.

I'm only inbetween 7th and 8th Gym badge, but rate my E4 lineup:

-Torterra
-Emploeon
-Infernape
-Luxray

-(3-way battle between Golem, Staraptor, and Abomasnow)

My basis is that Abomasnow is the Dragon-killer, so he has more staying power. I wonder about the other 2, since most of their abilites are covered (Earthquake FTW)

Also, what's a good level to take the E4 on?
