I noticed some people were talking about tiers and which Pokemon is good. Here's my input. The changing of physical and special attributes of attacks are great, since it makes some Pokemon more usable. Here's an example. Gyarados has great attack but piss poor Special Attack, meaning his water attacks won't be effective even with STAB. Now that there are physical water attacks like Aqua Tail and Waterfall (which becomes physical in Diamond and Pearl), Gyarados can finally use water attacks much more effectively... Pity it still can't learn a single Flying-Type attack despite being part Flying. As for Pokemon individually... Wobbuffet: High HP, and great moveset, especially when combined with Encore, which only a Wynaut can learn. However, its defenses are still low, meaning that one good attack has the Potential of killing it, such as a good Ghost type attack, or any kind of physcal attack from a Slaking. Blissey, having the Highest HP in the game and excellent Special Stats is a Special tank and sponge. But the instant a Machamp launches a Cross Chop on her, it's over, unless she had already used Substitute to survive it. In all reality, every Pokemon are good, it just depends on how you go by your strategy for it.

yeah the whole physical/special attack thing is gonna make bunch of my pokemon useless. I've got 26 level 100's though, so it shouldn't matter too much. My Slaking will need to switch moves like hyper beam with giga attack or whatever, but i should be able to fix most of them. | |
