Default PS2 Alzheimers

I need some help figuring out what's going on with my ps2. It has a sudden distaste for my burned IIDX games, but will make sweet sweet love to my imports and legits. Pop'n burns works fine, various ps2 games work fine, DDR works fine; now I wonder if I'm making my burns wrong or is my system finally taking a dive?

Prolly Ripping and/or Burning the image wrong... Only program that really works for backing up PS2 games is DVDdecrypter.

I do use DVD Decrypter. Now that I think about it, all the games that aren't working were ripped in person. Is there a settings memo I missed for ripping the images?

I personally use ISORecorder XP to do my ripping and burning, and all my backups work perfectly.

Alcohol 120% works fine for me -- for making images, burning images, copying discs, whatever. So, judging by the replies here, the program you use shouldn't matter too much.

Yeah, I don't think it's program related but instead settings. I've used nero, alcohol, and DVDD with success usually. It's just that certain games make my ps2 forget what we were doing. Sometimes it'll get stuck before it even turns on until I eject the disc, particularly with HS. It's not a fan.

Nope, DVD-Rs. I think some of the games are media issues, but only a couple. The rest are my ripping talents not being up to par. I tested several burns with different variables and all had the same results. Again, is there anything in particular I might be doing wrong settings wise to be messing this up?

if you are burning at MAX speed that could be a problem
or maybe your burner is about to die

Don't say that, it's the only burner I have and I'm such a cheap bastard! My poor laptop gets all the bad breaks.

I'll mess with speeds and try to rerip it later this week.
