What the hell is the deal with the PSP's IR receiver? The thing isn't used by anything that I'm aware of. I've heard it's used by some home brew applications, apparently exactly as what I thought it should be used for, but it just seems so randomly tacked on.
Like I think they should make an *official* remote for it (those of us using 2.80+ can't use home brew...yet), so when you're using the PSP on speakers somewhere, you can change songs stuff. I dunno.
I'm kinda sad the one and only PSP keyboard idea was scrapped as well. That would've been really useful.

Can you not plug in your speakers to the PSP control thing? D= I don't see how you wouldn't be able to considering the PSP in-hear headphones aren't anything special...

Yeah but that's it. You can't control anything on the PSP if you aren't standing right next to it, pressing the buttons. You know how iPods hook into speakers and they have controllers to control them from across the room? That's what the PSP needs a IR remote for.

Yeah, I love it. I used to mess with the TV or DVD player any time we would watch anything in one of my classes. It also serves as a PS2 remote, which is nice.

Oh god, that's so awesome. All they need to do is make it useable as PS2 controller and we're set (lol, 1 analog nub thing).
