Marketplace Rating: 5 | Quake II for PSP back in action! McZonk has picked up his Q2 for PSP project up again, and it's great! He has updated it to support online multiplayer, so as soon as this gets a steady fanbase, it'll be sick being able to play whenever online. I hadn't touched my PSP since the patch of the original Q2 build of his, and then I just checked PSP Updates today randomly and wham, build 3 of the multiplayer release! Let's get some BMS-Q2 action going on, guys. :b This game was my first major online multiplayer and is still to this date my favorite game, so I pretty much want to have sex with McZonk.
You can watch the project progress here.
(EDIT) There's a 5+ minute gameplay video on the site to show you how smooth it actually is.

We'll talk later about it.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | This is as cool as the time they almost put Quake 1 on the GBA.

The screen wills spin and battle music will start to play. You and drunk friends will be forced to stand in a line rocking back and forth holding over sized swords. A group of retarded looking monsters will appear and you will take turns hitting each other. When it is all over you will get 648 Gil and a fire ring. Why the 12 foot tall monster with no hands had a fire ring that fits everyone from you to your grandma will still be mystery to man.

Seriously, if not for custom firmware I would have sold my PSP a loooooooooong time ago.

Marketplace Rating: 5 | I still run 1.00 'cause I haven't touched my PSPs since 2.71. 8)
Anyway, yeah, anyone have a dedicated box in like the Texas area? There's currently no 24/7 servers up and it'd be nice for one in the central area. D:
kimcicle what's wrong with Q2? D: It's still my favorite game. :] Plus I don't think Q3's source code has been released yet, so Q2's pretty primo if you ask me.
(EDIT) Oh hey rmz is the GBA emulator full speed now? | |

(EDIT) Oh hey rmz is the GBA emulator full speed now? | The ID Tech 3 (Quake 3) engine has had its source code released since 2005 and I think getting Quake 3 to work would be more interesting than Quake 2.
