Rhapsody: A Musical [DS] Adventure

The classic Atlus/NIS PSX game that no one played is back, and now with less S in the RPG, but the same old song and dance.




The game's got a simple, fun story about a girl named Cornet out to marry her dream prince.

RPGs don't get much more fairy tale influenced than Rhapsody, but the songs are awesome, and there's plenty hilarity to go around.

Unfortunately, the DS version took out the English vocals, but the songs are still as good as ever, and practically worth the price of admission alone. (Supposedly they couldn't use the original dub because the DS version has new songs.)

The score was done by the Disgaea composer, Tenpei Sato, which explains the quality.


It's now a traditional RPG instead of a strategic one, so battles go by much quicker.

It's worth noting that the game isn't even remotely difficult, but it's a fun trip.

Hahaha I have it on PS1 and it did not take long to beat. I remember you could pretty much use auto for battles, which made it hilarious.

The original was piss easy because it was meant for girls.

I guess it's cool that it got redone, but god it's lazy.

I've still yet to beat the original because it was piss easy.

I think I vaguely remember choosing the hardest difficulty of, like, five...and it being nothing.

There's an excuse that could only apply to Rhapsody.

It's practically a selling point.

I want to buy this version, I wanted to get it from RQ with Disgaea DS and the sound track and other things for 50$, but that sale ended fast, and I only get to get on the internet a few days a week.
