I didn't say they did it differently, I said they did it first. Capcom capitalized and stole SNK's glory. Also SNK did finishing specials, power bars, and a working combo system before Capcom and what did they do you ask? Capcom added it to their fighting games and deemed it "new".

Oh, come on. If Capcom did it first, it's because they (Akiman and Nin Nin, more specificly) got the idea WAY before any guy from SNK. Seriously, WTF with your statement.

Also SNK did finishing specials
Desperate Moves were too different in mechanic to Super Combos (which are more similar to TMNT Tournament Fighters' special moves).

power bars
Once again, the Chii system and the Rage bar are completely different things to the bar systems used by Capcom.

Working combo system?

... ok, are you sure you know what you're talking about? Street Fighter II World Warrior already had a very solid system which would allow combos to work almost perfectly. With SNK games, it had to take some time for them to learn how to program games which would actually allow you to make combos (Fatal Fury Special, Art of Fighting 2).

Honestly, it doesn't matter how you look at it, while SNK gave good ideas to the fighting genre, the company that deserves recognition for setting the basis for fighting games is Capcom, not SNK.

Alright you win already. This is just going to end badly if we keep going.

I'll still hold my opinion on anything related to SF4 until the game comes out.

But I'll be back!

*bwahahahahahaha*

Yes, while the game will have 3D graphics, the gameplay will be 2D. Or that's what the developers say.

Some dudes are already saying this game would be more like SF EX IV, lol xD

Yes, let's isolate the remaining audience. Good idea.

Dimps of Rumble Fish fame is making this game so at least we have SOME kind of idea of what to expect.

A group of retarded looking monsters will appear and you will take turns hitting each other. When it is all over you will get 648 Gil and a fire ring. Why the 12 foot tall monster with no hands had a fire ring that fits everyone from you to your grandma will still be mystery to man.

That info came from Kotaku, and I stopped trusting them a long time ago.

I'd rather wait until 1UP or any other more reliable source confirms or corrects that.

Quote:
The graphics aren't the way they are in the teaser that everyone watched. The game's still pretty, but it has nothing of that ink-splashing or anything. Art direction is interesting. Unlike all the other 3D fighters, SFIV is not meant to be photo realistic.

Street Fighter IV runs at 60 frames per second.

Street Fighter IV will have online play.

The game takes place after Super Street Fighter II Turbo and before SFIII. The good news is that the character roster will be made of many old-school brawlers and some entirely new ones. There are two new girls on the list. We will probably not see any SFIII characters.

The stage you saw at 1Up, if you didn't figure out, is Chun-Li's Stage from SF2.

The excellent Parry system form SFIII is gone. The new system seems to be called Saving or Revenge (we're not sure about the name). We don't know exactly how it works, but it's built around cancels. And we do know we'll have another gauge to activate the Saving/Revenge stuff, besides the usual Super Gauge.

Supers are there (although they didn't decide yet if it will be like in SSF2T or SFIII), and now they've put another moves called Ultras. These makes your character throws a auto combo with tons of moves. It's like a custom combo ... except by the custom part.

Shen Long may appear in the game. We are NOT kidding.

The consoles are not decided yet, really. But, assuming that SFIV will have online play, we can obviously think of Xbox 360 and PS3 (duh). It's very likely that we'll see an arcade version without online mode too, and our sources told us that Capcom could put some test machines in Japan arcades in Q2 next year.

Ohhhhh woooooowwww

That looks awesome. It would have been really cool if they would have kept the trailer art style but I figure that would be way too hard to pull off during gameplay.

Keep the updates coming =)
