I love this game! I was fortunate enough to be able to buy this game online like 6 or 7 years ago. Anyway, when I play this game, I try to build my gems as huge as possible. Then I'll break em and win the round. In the later stages, the comp will be alot more aggressive so I'll normally be breaking as many counter gems as I can. Then of course there's the diamond gem which breaks any color you choose which is a lifesaver.

It's so funny at the last stage where you think you face dan and then akuma shows up and beats the crap outta him. Good times.

There's really nothing to talk about game wise. It's pretty obvious. Build up alot of gems and smash them. I had this game for PSX, but sold it for quite afew dollars, it was the pink disc I believe..

I'm not insanely good at the game...I can clear Normal no problem, Hard sometimes gives me troubles...the most of it I play anymore is against a friend, and we usually do Dan vs. Dan fights, just for fun. Big red gems everywhere...of course, it's great when you get enough power into one attack and it rolls over the 255 (I think...) maximum and restarts at 0, so instead of seeing 99, it's like 5. XD

Am I the only one in the entire nation who fails at games like this?

I can beat arcade mode, but can't do much outside of that...I remember when I was 9 or 10, and I couldn't beat Devilot to save my life. I played the game again last year, and won on my first or second try. I think it was just luck though. I'm pretty awful.

I was super aggrivated when on street mode but after ahhhhhh.... about 10 tries i beat akuma and it took awhile to beat Devilot and i pretty mch beat the whole game if you consider unlocking every one and averything and meeting all the people in arcade mode but it was super frustrating in the prossess but i had tons of fun on dan!

Does anyone remember a glitch with that gem that destroyed only the color of whatever it landed on.

If you timed it right right before it hit and it switched it would actually destroy all the gems on your side?

Don't know if its true or not.

I got this game within the last year. I had always thought there was a GBA port of the game, but I never saw it at game shops and whenever I asked I always got funny looks, so I figured I was wrong, lol. Then one of my friends and I started playing the arcade version and he found the GBA version on Amazon.com. Not only was I happy to know that the game was not a figment of my imagination, but I could also play it on the go!

It took me awhile to unlock all the stuff in Street Mode, but now I've got it all unlocked. Akuma was a bitch to unlock for me, but for some reason Devilot wasn't too tough, lol.

I'm usually Ken, and my friend usually plays as Donovan. Sometimes, just to be evil, I'll play as Akuma instead (he doesn't have him unlocked yet) but I usually don't because I don't know how to choose him on the arcade. If you can, does anyone know how?

My strategy usually involves having a medium-sized gem and a stream connecting it. I'll usually have 3 2x2 and a 3x2 gem all connected, that way there's several spots for a gem to touch. And of course, thinking ahead with the other colors helps too. I usually use gems to eliminate a lesser color, since it doesn't seem to do as much damage as a normal gemshot does, unless I'm trying to quickly bury my opponent's attack.

I remember that feeling. Just wait untill your batt. fails and your memory corrupts XD I unlocked Akuma sooo many times it's sad... amazing game, wasted a whole year in class playing it.
