Marketplace Rating: 0 | Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Here you can talk about anything related to the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games. For example, American Wasteland (the last game) was much too short. Although, to be fair, I played it a LOT when I rented it, so I burned through it pretty quickly. However, only six stages in Classic mode is MUCH too short!

Marketplace Rating: 0 | I think 3 and 4 had it, but I'm not sure about THUG 1 or 2. I haven't really played it since 2. I picked up 3, played it for about half an hour, and haven't touched it since. I'd rather put 30-40 hours into an RPG that nets me a good story than make a skater that kinda looks like me for a little bit of entertainment value.
They're good games, they just get boring/aggrivating way too fast.

I lost my interest in crushing every game after Underground, I've tried Underground 2 once and American Wasteland once. The games for the PS3 i'll be giving a shot at as well.

I haven't played THPS since the first, but I did get alot out of it. The first level, I believe, was my favorite. I never did enjoy the split screen two player mode though, which was fucking nnoying as I was always looking at my opponent and what they're doing, instead of what I'm supposed to be doing.
This thing has really taken off though. I didn't expect there to be 4 in the series, a few others on GBA, and probably a couple of other titles like American Wasteland which I haven't even seen. It's a shame that the PS1 game looks SO FUCKING DATED compared to say, oh, 1998, but oh well.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | THUG2 Remix is one of the main reasons that I still own a PSP, it's the game that I play the most for the system. My favorite of the whole series is THPS2 (my platform of preference for the game is PS1), the level design in it is really good and its soundtrack is my favorite of the series.
And this could be just me, but it seems like the games have gotten a lot easier over time. Anyone else see this too?

Add to that the reverts and manuals and they've definitely gone from incredibly tough to substantially less so.
I personally thought that 3 was the best in the series; it had some genuinely difficult shit in it that kept me playing for well after I got it, and the levels themselves were really well done.

I haven't played a single THPS in a loong time. I tried THUG2 and hated it so much I haven't even cared to hear about this "American Wasteland". I still have the original through THUG2 though.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | I stopped playing THPS after the second one. Not because I didn't want to, I just never really got back into it. Hmm, I'm tending to stop playing games after just their first or second iterations. THPS, Initial D, Maximum Tune. It's a nasty feeling when you're finally getting the hang of one game only to find out that your arcade is the last one in town that DOESN'T have that game's sequel and everyone else is playing it.

Same though I played the hell out of the 2nd on dreamcast. That was the best. I recently got THUG2, and played it for maybe an hour. I can't stand that skater/punk/retard/jackass bullshit in the game. It didn't seem like much changed in the gameplay though.

THPS: groundbreaking
THPS2: Really good
THPS3: Amazingly good
THPS4: FUCKING GODLY
THUG: Alright
THUG2: Shitty
THAW: disgustingly bad
