No, it's not an auction. It was a sneaky, secret way for them to announce that they're going to make MVC2 downloadable on the PSN and XBLA. $15 is a damn good price too.
Thank god some game developers are realizing that it's a good thing to rerelease their old popular titles again. I know I certainly didn't want to pay $80 for a copy of the damn game.

Unlocking is usually, some times, the best part of the game. Maybe they'll will have the unlock of selecting the same character 3 times. Fighting a team of Storm would suck balls.

I did, but with my discount I got it for 64, but to me it was definitely worth it <3
Hard copies are still going to be worth something. I doubt it will stay at 80 though.

Hence I pray such a feature will forever remain locked away. I bet you'd see a bunch of Cable trios as well...
This is probably the only reason why I am keeping my SFIV Tournament Fighting Stick. I just need to mod it so the buttons need more of a press before they activate and put a bat stick on there.
